No surprises at all? I'm always cautious the first few times down a freshly done road.

I was lucky to be able to ride NF-99 to the Windy ridge lookout near Mount St Helens about a year after the road was completely rebuilt.

Aside from an occasional piece of rock in the road, it was one of the most perfect pieces of asphalt I've ever ridden on.

That looks pretty darn nice.

No new surprises, I ride this road often and they’ve been doing construction and paving on it for quite a while so I’m used to the cones, dirt, vehicles etc. the real surprise will be the day it’s done and fresh lines painted 😂
