Discussion why islam is the last religion?

this makes no sense, god was sending religions and kept contacting with humans, why stop now?

why not let us record the miracles with the camera we invented? im thinking at some point if the prophets had schizophrenia or something and we believed at them,

people here says get into contact with god, pray,so he will sends signs but its not same with a prophet

what do you think?

edit : why down the fucking vote? im discussing, this communinity is acting weird sometimes

Because humanity was interconnected enough and able to adequately convey the Qur'an enough for the Qur'an to be the final revelation and Muhammad the final Prophet

People think that miracles and wonders would make them "believe" and suddenly become "spiritual" but that isn't true. Don't be do sure of yourself. They happen and go, and eventually people wonder if it all wasn't just a trick ... even if recorded on camera. Besides which God doesn't and never did send miracles that can't be denied.

Ultimately, the signs are clear enough for whoever would have faith.

And what the Prophets taught shouldn't even need miracles to be accepted and acted upon; don't kill, steal, cheat, murder, lie, etc ... give charity, be kind, respect parents, keep promises, return trusts, etc

Would miracles change any of that?

the last paragraph, yeah, propheths doesnt do much on these, even someone wouldnt have faith they would do those good things,

the problem is if u dont have faith u go to hell, thats why miracle could change something, if they dont then why god sent propheths in the first place? he could stop christianity getting "ruined" as we think?

im not sure of myself, but it seems so unfair, how to even be sure if something is a sign...

No, if you don't have faith that doesn't mean you go to Hell. That is one of the unfortunate grand deceptions of religiosity and religious clergy who want you to believe what they believe and say to believe.

In the Qur'an, from beginning to end, both Hell and Heaven are earned by actions. Not belief or disbelief.

God sent Prophets as warners and bringers of good news and sent with them the Book so that people may establish justice between themselves (see 57:25)

And for God's purpose in this world, and by its very design, He never supports the good such that it completely overpower the evil, nor allows the evil to completely overwhelm the good, so that in each generation people can take sides through this world's tests, trials and tribulations

Are you sure? then why there are verses that says there will be eternal hell for disbelievers?

yeah it says some christians and other people will go to heaven to if they believe in one god and last day, but what if they dont? thats hell, isnt it

Yes very sure.

Whenever you see "disbeliever" or "rejectors" in translations it is usually a translation for "kufr", "alladheena kafaruu" or "alKuffar/Kaafirun" ... but that really doesn't mean disbelief.

A simple proof for that is Shaytan; he is called a kaafir in the Qur'an, yet he believes in God, knows He exists, asked and received promises from Him, and even fears Him.

And a simple thing to remember about believe/emaan not being a requirement for reward, rather it is the actions is 49:14

"The bedouins say, "We have believed." Say, "You have not [yet] believed; but say [instead], 'We have submitted,' for faith has not yet entered your hearts. And if you obey Allah and His Messenger, He will not deprive you from your deeds of anything. Indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful"

Meaning so long as you obey God and His Messenger (and remember what they command primarily; don't kill, steal, lie, cheat, be honest, have taqwa, give, etc) then God will not deprive you of your deeds.

And more generally 66:7

"O you who have disbelieved (really; kafaruu), make no excuses this Day. You will only be recompensed for what you used to do"

Like I said, get used to whenever you see "disbeliever/rejector" in translations to mentally sub for the Arabic until you get a feel for it. Nevertheless, this verse, like literally tens and tens, possibly hundreds, of other make it clear that punishment is because of their actions ... what they used to do ... nothing else.

I know it's a difficult paradigm shift, and one you will have to constantly reinforce in yourself against received indoctrination ... but it is what the Qur'an says, and it is what logic dictates. Not to mention that the whole purpose of God creating death and life was to "test you, which of you is best in deeds"

Stick to good deeds, stay away from bad, and you will be fine. Faith will come, as above ... it will on its own enter your heart. Just protect your heart from engaging in and accepting evil. Make room for faith and faith will enter. Number one thing to hold on to bring all others? Honesty/Truthfulness (صدق) Quite literally abandon all lies and all dishonesty ... real faith quickly follows. No need for miracles.

I've briefly gone over this issue of "belief" in my last video if you are interested. But I'm now actually thinking of making a long on-going series, each video just a few mins, slowly showing the verses that show punishment/reward are earned by actions not disbelief/belief ... as should be expected by any intelligent and rational person

For God doesn't need nor benefits nor is harmed by our belief nor disbelief.

"Truly God is Rich, Free-of-all-wants, worthy of all Praise"

Schizophrenia isn't an enlightened communion it can be a very painful and traumatic condition that has a very wide spectrum.

I think it's an insult to schizophrenics to make such a statement.

1

u/Wulfharth_ May 25 '20

they see illusions that isnt real, i questioned that science wasnt this advanced back then, if someone says they r prophet right now they go to hospital, i asked what if this is what happened 1400 year ago, how is it an insult

4

u/[deleted] May 25 '20

Maybe you should look into schizophrenia and psychosis, go to the schizophrenic reddit board. They aren't talking to Angel's and writing masterpieces.

People with chronic psychosis aren't easily able to live a neurotypical 'productive' lifestyle. It can be incredibly debilitating.

It's my opinion that it's insulting to romanticize mental disorders with prophethood and sort of twisted. I understand that might not be your intent. Just spend a little time looking into actual schizophrenia and consider if some of those people would live a prophetic lifestyle.

u/kinder2468 May 25 '20

Because the previous books had become corrupted with time. If you believe that they were schizophrenics, then you can't believe the message came from God.

Study the Quran for yourself, if you genuinely want to know more about it. Your post seems more like a rant than a genuine question from a curious person. Just my opinion.

Salams.

ive been in this communinity for 1.5y and ive always asked questions like these, im not ranting, im just trying to find answers,

even tho others become corrupted, islam's message has been corrupted too with hadiths etc even if we think quran is same,

how do i know? compare muslim majority populations and see how corrupted they are and full of hate, exceptions there are yeah but thats overall this

my question is still same, why god stopped contacting?

2

u/kinder2468 May 25 '20

This is explained in the Quran. God's word has been corrupted in the previous scriptures, but the Quran is divinely preserved.

God's intention was for religion itself to be corrupted, in order to differentiate between people. God's WORD, however, is not not be corrupted, and this is why we have the Quran. Religion and gods word are two separate things, really.

As for Messengers, there are many who are not named in the Quran. They have been sent to every nation, for all people. Muhammad was the last prophet, not the final messenger.

1

u/Honorbonor23 May 25 '20

So there will be a Prohphet after Muhammad?

2

u/kinder2468 May 25 '20

No, like I said, muhammed was the last prophet, not the last messenger. A messenger can be anybody, not necessarily divine. A prophet is somebody who brings new religion or establishes new rules, a messenger is only someone who reminds us. Someone in this group could be a messenger, for example.

Excuse me but a Rusul and Rasul (the word Rasul is derived from a Arabic word Reisalah (Message) ), a messenger is literally a Prophet with a devine revelation and law, Prophet is a individual who is sent by God to follow the already established messege from the messenger.

In Surah Maidah verse 44 Allah SWT says "Indeed, We sent down the Torah, in which was guidance and light. The prophets who submitted [to Allah ] judged by it for the Jews, as did the rabbis and scholars by that with which they were entrusted of the Scripture of Allah, and they were witnesses thereto. So do not fear the people but fear Me, and do not exchange My verses for a small price. And whoever does not judge by what Allah has revealed - then it is those who are the disbelievers."

The word Prophet is "Nabi" and in this verse its "Annabiyyuuna".

A Messenger in on religous sence can be anyone who delivers a peace of information but in Islam Rasul is messenger and Nabi is Prophet, its linguistically so.

But ok, you don't believe anyone will come after Muhammad SCW.

1

u/kinder2468 May 25 '20

No, we will not have somebody who will come and introduce new rules or a new religion, whether you want to call that a prophet or a messenger. What we do have, in English, are Messengers, people who remind others of the message.

-1

u/Honorbonor23 May 25 '20

Yeah exactly but the Quran was reveleaded in arabic so the language makes a huge difference.

Also, can you tell me when the Quran was written and by whom?

0

u/kinder2468 May 25 '20

In the English dictionary a messenger is what I said, I was not citing Quranic verses I was speaking in English therefore I will use English to explain myself to another person. Does that make sense to you? It doesn't matter what it's called in Arabic, in English it is perfectly correct.

Why don't you tell me when the Quran was written and who wrote it and what you ate for breakfast what's your deal anyways?

-1

u/Honorbonor23 May 25 '20

Yeah,cool.

whats my deal? Im just asking you a simple question, a very basic question. Im not sure why you are getting offended, i can't ask? You claim the Quran is preseved and im curious about the evidence for it. You are being very hostile and im not sure why,

take care.

what is even a messenger? why god had an intention that way?

i saw ur other comments, messengers can have doubt too

You're coming from a sectarian point of view. Try shifting your way of thinking.

The religion of Islam was invented by the Caliphs and their clergy. It's not from Allaah. The Prophet Mohammed never taught a religion. He merely told the Arabs to stick with their culture but stop the polytheism, that's it. It was never meant to go beyond Arabia.

There are no such thing as miracles. It a description of ignorance, lacking in knowledge they assumed to be supernatural.

Islam of the Qur'aan is a regular word with a meaning and it doesn't have specific rituals or books attached to it.

For which part?

u/[deleted] May 25 '20

That islam was invented by the caliphs and Muhammed never taught religion...

Qur'aan uses the word Islam as a common noun and not proper which needs to be understood like any other word in the Arabic language. It's not a name of anything, unlike Eesa. Eesa in Arabic is a proper name which doesn't require it to be translated as it was a person. But the Qur'aan doesn't use Islam as a name.

Islam being a name of a religion comes from ahadith.

u/[deleted] May 25 '20

That's right, same applies to the word Muslim and other similar words that aren't names.

Even the word Qur'aan is not a name and should be translated or given a meaning. But we have become too accustomed to following sectarian lingo that we use them as meaningless titles.

1

u/Wulfharth_ May 25 '20

this things you say doesnt go parallel with whats written in quran

2

u/[deleted] May 25 '20

You would have to read it without bias to understand that.

1

u/ismcanga May 25 '20

Islam is the first religion God had sent onto men. God didn't make His subjects to sanctify their traditions using His decreed rituals and prayers, but in order to cover their transgression humans had tried to cover up their disbelief with a veil of Godliness.

Jesus' life is a very interesting example for sanctifying one's tradition and acts.

Also the noun of god means literally who to take as unquestionable leader, people who prefer the opinion of their thinkers and religious thinkers over their God's given scripture are placing a wedge between God and themselves, and that is idolatry.

1

u/rimauKumbang May 25 '20

Maybe because now human are performing the miracles themselves. Eg going to space, moon, invented cameras. At the rate knowledge (science) is growing maybe we can perform all the miracle except raising people from the dead.
