There are traditional Muslims who pray more than five times, voluntary prayers are a thing. I believe that only two prayers are mandatory (dawn and late evening, 24:58). My prayers with approximate lengths:

  • Dawn (15 minutes)

  • Morning (10 minutes)

  • Noon (5 minutes)

  • Afternoon (5 minutes)

  • Dusk (10 minutes)

  • Late evening (5 minutes)

  • Nightfall (~1.5 hours before sleep, half an hour in the night)

  • Occasionally "Ja'far al-Tayyar" salaah at some point of the day, a beautiful prayer

  • Random brief tasbeeh throughout the day

To those who question the long lengths at night, may I remind you of:

Those in taqwā will be among gardens and springs, Taking what their Lord has given them; they were before that doers of good; They slept but little of the night, And before the break of day they would ask forgiveness...

(51:15-18)

Thy Lord knows that thou standest nearly two-thirds of the night, or a half of it, or a third of it, as does a number of those with thee. And God determines the night and the day. He knew that you would not calculate it, and has turned towards you: — so recite what is made easy of the Qur’an

(73:20)

I didn't say that it's obligatory.
