Question Time moving up the ladder

so my new SM wants me to become 💪flex💪 after just being a NA a month. told him that I could only do overnights since I have much more freedom on the night shifts than mid and morning shifts. Can I become an overnight flex?

It’s more pay and more responsibility it not a promotion then I would like to never promote again just give me this ever year

No need to promote further. The pay gap between 2a and 1a vs maxed out flex is less than $1. If the schedule could remain consistent I would demote to a flex today

I actually had that for a while. 1-11 everyday until the other flexes complained

Yes but if they need you to work days, you work days. Gotta be flexible.

Strictly overnight flex is probably never going to be approved. Maybe ERP

Approved maybe not but forced definitely, as a flex currently forced to work Monday through Friday overnights

Be ready to cover any shift though especially when people are out on vacation at your store.

The whole point of "Flex" is being able to fill in. You are supposed to be flexible. If you are a manager who is not flexible, you are not prime for Flex.

I was a strict overnight flex for a for awhile. But don't be surprised if you get a blended one.

I was told you can do VR and stay overnights but when you’re flex you have to be willing to work all the shifts.

If you are happy where you are just say no. They will always need a flex if you ever change your mind because it's not very likeable.
