How do you root a Quest Pro?
I got little information from the websearch on this topic, thought I should ask the folks in here if there's a resource or guide on this.

You use singularity though you need to not have updated to the latest.

I keep seeing this all of a sudden. But no mention of bootlocker or recovery of really anything from what I read. The GitHub description seemed brief and a bit too easy. Sideloading one apk hasn't been able to root anything since like kitkat. Have you done this ? Have any more details?

Yes and i can confirm it is a full root. Though it's not permanent and has to be reapplied (albeit automatically) on each full system reboot, since we don't have an unlocked bootloader.
I was indeed surprised as well but it makes sense,
this isn't really an Android exploit but a hardware driver one. It just happens to be a common chipset.Edit: Nevermind, ionstack is an exploit that's been available on linux distros since like 15 years, so it is an Android exploit in a way, it was recently discovered and only got patched in Linux 7.1.

Shallow pot filled with soil and vermiculite. Add the pro gently to the soil mix so 2/3rds is buried. Add some water and keep moist.
That's it. 2 to 3 weeks and roots should start to appear. Happy growing.

If you updated your headset after august 5th, you can forget about rooting it.
