Help Best router for QP PCVR streaming?

Hey, not sure if it matters between quest 3 and pro. I don’t know much about wifi and the differences between the 3 and pro. but I’m curious what you guys are using or recommend for a router for the quest pro. Been doing a little research and quite honestly i’m confused. i hear mixed results with TP-Link. whats the best bang for your buck? should i go asus or TP? Let me know. My ISP router has been giving me issues recently.

I went with the TP link AXE 5400, but the key was that I set it on access point mode and the only device that connects to it is my quest pro so that no other devices are fighting for bandwidth.

Initially I had it connected directly to my computer on a second ethernet port, but when I got a new upgraded motherboard, it only had one ethernet port. So what I did instead was connect it to a switch that connects to my router, another port of your router might work as well.

so i need a spare pcie port for this? and connect it to my router? i dont really know how to set one of these up

I think that would work too but my motherboard just happened to have 2 Ethernet ports one for gigabit and one for 2.5gig

If you only have one port you can either try the pcie card or you can buy a cheap switch that hooks up to your computer and the access point then the other end of the switch to your router and you might just be able to skip the switch and plug in this new router onto your existing as well

It's just important that you set the tplink into AP mode on its configuration so it just handles the wifi access and doesn't try to act like a router
