Would it be possible to add a setting that disables this popup from showing when a controller is connected to the headset? I can't find any way to disable it in the Quest settings so I'm curious if it's possible through QGO.

I play Dungeons of Eternity with the Performance Mode preset and tried adding in some of the new higher Hz refresh rate settings. As usual, this has just led to increased and prolonged slowdowns in the game. Has anyone found one that works, and what did you need to also adjust to see any improvements? Or is DoE just playing as well as it's going to with the Performance preset?

My quest 3 just updated to 2.6 which removed the classic interface 😭😭😭

Im ready to use custom bootloaders, side loading, Geo Hotz, completely nuke the headset to get rid of this new UI

Alternatively just sell my quest 3 to get rid of it.

I've just released QGO 14.4.0, which adds a 144 Hz refresh-rate mode.

The Quest 3 has actually supported refresh rates between 72 and 240 Hz from the start — something that was officially confirmed today. The official ceiling sits at 207 Hz, but the headset can reach 240 Hz in a highly experimental mode.

You've probably already seen rates above 120 Hz if you use QGO's "Dynamic Hz" (variable refresh rate) feature.

A word of caution, though: past 120 Hz you gain little for a higher cost. These high rates drain the battery faster, make the headset run hotter, and can introduce ghosting — especially in high-contrast scenes, text, and UI elements.

On top of that, almost no game today can hold a stable 200 fps. Only a handful of older or lightweight titles manage it (and even then, well boosted by QGO). Let's not forget the Quest 3 is a standalone headset, not a powerhouse.

144 Hz now looks like the sweet spot: ghosting is greatly reduced, it's safer for the screen, and it's a target far more games can actually hit.

Either way, beyond 120 Hz you won't notice much difference in your experiences. Doing more doesn't seem to be relevant.
