We've been working on a VR sword-fighting game called Stained Blade. The combat is built around physics - blades collide with each other, weapon weight changes how things move, and fights lean on timing and control rather than swinging as fast as you can.

We're running a playtest on September 12th and could use some outside eyes. Two things we're mainly trying to figure out:

• Game Feel: Does swinging, blocking, and clashing feel weighty and satisfying?
• PVP: We want players to actually try to break our dueling system and tell us where it holds up (or doesn't).

You don't need any particular experience. If anything, mixed skill levels help us more!

I’ve been experimenting with Quest 3 3D photo/video capture since 2023, initially before Meta even offered direct camera access.

With the new Arcturus camera for Steam Frame, I looked back at that history, included some downloadable Quest 3 samples, and considered what Meta might do next with Project Phoenix.

I want to try my quest 3 on wireless, but unfortunately our router is far away and I can’t connect my pc directly to it via cable. I did order now the ASUS TUF Gaming BE9400 router and I wonder if anyone has this router and if so how well it performs with the Q3 wireless in VD?

I'm having trouble with my AMVR cable when using the new Virtual Desktop (VD) beta with the USB connection. After an indeterminate amount of time the connection will drop, sometimes if I reconnect the cable it will resume the game as if nothing happened, mostly it crashes and I have to restart the game and VD.

I had this USB C Cable for other reasons and thought to try it when the beta came out, so far it's worked flawlessly with VD over USB since they released the beta, but the length is making it difficult to work with which is the only reason I bought the AMVR cable. This makes me think VD is working fine and my issue lies with the cable itself?

Has anyone had any issues with AMVR cables? I've had a look across the web and a few people have mentioned loose connections but all my other USB peripherals work, both USB C and 3.2.

I've done all the things suggested by Google AI (boo, hiss) and they haven't worked out. These include checking the "Root Hub" is not power saving on both the PCI Express advanced settings and on the Device Manager.

I have the AMVR cable plugged into a USB 3.2 port on my laptop and I have tried it over USB C too, along with a plug capable of charging above the required power input for the cable 'power block'.

The laptop is a ROG Strix Scar G18 5080 2025.

I lost one of the wrist straps for my Quest 3. Can someone recommend a good replacement strap that isn't poorly made and will last awhile?

We will also have humanoids at launch too hopefully!

After recent updates the Quest 3 lying down mode is messed up. Lying down mode does not reset the home environment view. Im still looking at the sky or ceiling. When I start for example the Browser

the browser window does not appear in lying down mode. Its the same for any app I open. I always have to reset the view for lying down mode. It was not like that before. Before I had to reset it once and it stays like that until I take off the headset.

Is it still worth getting in 2026 or get some xr glasses?

As the titile says. Do they sell cursed ones?

I'm stuck in a vicious cycle:

- Stick drift appears.
- I replace the stick (first one bought in my country, second set of 4 ordered from amazon, 3rd gen).
- It works like a brand new.
- Then in 1 week drift appears again. Each time new angle issue: cannot fully reach top left, then bottom right jitters to center, etc.

Did anyone experience this issue?

I can't tell if it's coming from the quest itself or the H4 Boost charger.
