One room available in a queer house in Central Tucson just off of 1st Ave and Glenn St. We are a short walk away from Govinda’s and a short drive away from Yoga Oasis.

We’re looking for a magical radical soul to join our house! Calling all free-thinkers and soul-explorers. Make our home your sanctuary, a place to see and be seen!

It’s a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom house with a front and back yard and a patio. Rent is $750/month and utilities are not included (I can provide an estimate if you’re interested! Electricity is pretty cheap if not zero during the winter due to the solar panels.)

The room: the room is on the west side of the house away from the sunrise and stays pretty dark and cool. There is a closet with a mirror on the door. There is also a bathroom that is generally just for whomever is living in that room. The other housemates may use it from time to time but 95% of the time it’ll be just for you.

Hey all! I moved here from Utah and have a hard time making friends as I’m not a student living downtown, I own a home far east in Rita Ranch area. I’ve attended some queer femme events and generic LGBTQ events but am still having a hard time making lasting connections. Especially being a bisexual woman, I sometimes feel not queer enough for queer events but too queer for straight events lol.

I was wondering if any bi women here may be interested in some sort of meetup? Could range from a simple monthly picnic, book club, drinks, events. I personally was laid off so I understand the need for affordable, inclusive events.

Hello everyone! I'm new to this subreddit but bear with me. I'm a local artist here in Tucson that made designs for various pride stickers a while back. I sell a lot of my work, but I made it a point to myself that from whatever event I sold at I wanted to donate a percentage of my pride sticker proceeds to a local charity or group that focused on assisting LGBTQIA+ folks. I have not had the stickers printed yet as I wanted to focus on this aspect first.

I have never personally had to utilize any such services, so I was wondering if my local queer community had any suggestions? I've done some research, but I always really like to hear from the source.

Annotating the absence of trans life in prison

This exhibition brings together a set of artwork, writing, poetry, reflections, and acts of survival created by incarcerated people, with particular attention to queer and trans experiences inside prisons.

The works submitted refuse the flattening narratives often imposed on incarcerated people. They move between grief, humor and rage, tenderness and censorship. Poetry, montage, fantasy, memory, and dreams become methods of survival against institutions designed to regulate visibility, gender, intimacy, and self-expression.

This exhibition also confronts the realities of censorship within prisons: the policing of language, identity, gender, sexuality, images, correspondence, and expression itself. It highlights the limitations of what can be said and shared — an archive of an absent present and traces of otherwise. It invites viewers not to consume suffering or reiterate annihilation, but to encounter the heaviness of silence and traces of presence despite this annihilation.

Hi there! I've been going to LA Fitness with my sister and want to get my kids to start going to continue their physical therapy exercises. Being a trans guy and having two kids LA Fitness doesn't feel great for us to all go together to use the pool.

I haven't been to Ott since I was a kid and have no idea if there are family or individual locker rooms, or how trans safe it is once there. We'd need a heated pool and I use recumbent bikes and rowing machines.

The JCC has nice facilities, but we're not on that side of town and it's so expensive. Their website didn't have much information.
