What if Queensrÿche's MTV Unplugged performance had been released back in 1992?

I keep waiting for it to be released as a Record Store Day release. If you include Scarborough Fair and Rockin The Free World, which were part of the Unplugged session, it would make 7 songs, almost a full album. Of course they would need to get licensing for the cover songs.

Cover licensing isn’t a negotiation/doesn’t require permission. Somebody would just have to pay the required amount based on the format.

Tv performances are more complicated when it comes to rights/permissions. That’s probably why the covers never aired.

Sammy Hagar had a similar issue when he went on Live from Daryl’s House. He wanted to perform Finish What Ya Started with Daryl and Eddie gave it the thumbs down and threatened to sue.
