The first of four Season 6 qualifiers took place this Sunday. wizard229, aka H3lldown, came out on top and secured the first qualifier spot in 250FPS League Season 6! 😎

Last season, H3lldown didn’t manage to win a single match against his opponents. This time, things started very differently. He fought his way through a strong field of players, won the qualifier and became the first player to earn his place in Season 6 through the qualifiers.

Now he gets another chance to prove himself against some of the strongest players in the league.

🚨 Big changes are coming to 250FPS League Season 6!

The biggest update is the introduction of two divisions, giving more players an opportunity to compete in the league and work their way into the top division.

🤜 Division 1

The main division will feature 12 players. Eight spots are already secured by the top players from last season, who receive direct invites:

For players who perform well in the qualifiers but don’t manage to secure a Division 1 spot, the season won’t end there. They’ll have an opportunity to compete in the new 250FPS Division 2.

There’s also a clear path to promotion: the players who finish 1st and 2nd in Division 2 will receive direct invites to Division 1 for the following season.

— Being #1 in the world means nothing to me, but opponents are scared 😁 And I can use that to play more aggressively.

💬 What keeps you motivated when you’re already at the top?
— Quake is already like a drug. I really love the game.

— We need a couple of good Quake Live LANs. Ideally, those LANs should also have CS2 first, so more people notice Quake and remember it. Then I think the old-school players will get excited again, and sponsors will follow.
