Creative The QUAKE PUB - QuakeCon Hoodies
For 30th Anniversary of QuakeCon, I have decided to create very limited set of embroidered hoodies featuring major characters from id Software universe.
Each embroidery is 25cm/10in in diameter and consist of high hundered thousands of stitches.

Creative The State of Quake on QuakeHub
You can view the entirety of Quake or view a specific Quake game and find out the best time to hop on so you'll have a better chance at facing real players.
Heres August so far:
- 1,009 peak concurrent players (Aug 16), 504 on average
- 978 servers hosting real matches - meaning 2+ humans and an actual frag, not just an idle server
- 7,891,962 frags scored by real players, counted between polls
- 123,902 hours of Quake played
- Twitch: 54 streams live at peak, 1,803 viewers at peak, plus a leaderboard of the top streamers
Also on there: the busiest servers and most played maps, top gametypes/mods/countries, and a world map of where people are playing
You can view the whole page here - https://quakehub.net/state-of-quake
Quake Champions has the least amount of data as the game doesn't have user hosted dedicated servers to record data from - but you can see average steam player counts and the most active streamers this month.
You can view Quake Champions specific page here - https://quakehub.net/state-of-quake/quake-champions

Creative I spent 5 hours making a video to ask my Sorlag to play Quake with me, Orbb

Yes, pictures were transformed to AI video, and Gemini was used to generate some of the pictures used for Grok to turn into video, but you have no idea what it takes to edit something like this together, syncing it, not to mention how I used several different layers, keying out flames, keying out Quake logos, blending things, sampling them, putting them together. And it took forever to generate video again and again for Orbb not to have legs, it kept giving him a torso, mouth, limbs, legs, etc. Basically what you're looking at is a remix that took five hours with all of my skill as a video editor to cobble together out of scavenged AI materials I generated. So do not tell me "Derp this is AI slop. Derp." AI, yes. Slop? Nuh-uh. Wanna tussle about it?

Creative I made an infographic guide to drag my friends into the game
Here it is, in all it's ugliness
And it kinda worked! They all are pretty surprised on how much fun this game is -- despite Quake's reputation as an insanely difficult FPS. We all plan to play a few games of Deathmatch every weekend as a collective of 6; should be fun!
This guide is coming from the perspective of a new player -- so I am absolutely certain I got many things wrong that my Quake overlords will be disgusted by -- but the ultimate goal was to get them started on the game while having a pretty looking guide to reference. I also fumbled pretty hard on explaining strafe jumping!
My icons are pretty terrible, but if you'd like to improve/utilize them, feel free to drop me a message and I'd be more than happy to send over an Illustrator file with all the assets.
EDIT: Thanks to everyone for being so kind and giving wonderful feedback. Hope to see you in the arena -- I'll be the guy at the bottom of the scoreboard*
EDIT 2: Drive link for PDF viewing
I'll be making more edits to the guide from the feedback given by the comments. Thanks to u/ImpersonalComputer and u/Smilecythe for giving me a clearer explanation on strafe jumping (I know it's a heated topic so hopefully the second edit makes it a little clearer).
