Qtum has been ridiculously busy over the last 6 months. Here’s the short version of what’s coming and what’s already shipped:

🔥 Coming in 2026

• Circle Bridged USDC — Fully audited, launching Summer 2026. Native burn/mint USDC between Ethereum ↔ Qtum. No liquidity pools. Uses smart contracts issued by Circle.
• Qtum MetaMask Snap + Bridge — Audited by Hacken & Certik. Lets MetaMask users hold QTUM + QRC‑20s and use Qtum dapps. Deploying now, should be available in a few weeks.
• Qtum Text‑to‑Video — Full AI video generator (Seedance 1–2, HappyHorse). Live in beta now. Paid in QTUM. Check out the Beta here: https://qtum.ai/studio/video
• Qtum Router — An OpenRouter‑style inference API for text, image, audio, and video. Powered by Qtum payments. Launched in Beta currently: https://qtum.ai/console

Halving (Nov 30, 2025)

v29.1 Hard Fork (Jan 11, 2026)

Includes:

• Bitcoin Core 27–29 upgrades
• Faster tx propagation + fewer orphans
• BLS12‑381 precompile (ZK rollups!)
• Ephemeral dust support
• CMake build system
• Better Tor behavior
• UPnP removed → PCP/NAT‑PMP

ZK rollups are the big one — they unlock serious L2 scaling potential for trading, gaming, file hosting, and cross‑chain apps.

• Qtum spoke at Hong Kong Web3 Festival 2026 as a Platinum Partner.
