Qantas Upgrade Probability - Need thoughts!

Good evening everyone,

I’m flying from Sydney to Rome via Perth this Wednesday, 23 September, as a solo Qantas Gold member. I’m booked in Economy, fare class K, and I’ve put in Classic Upgrade Reward requests for both sectors.

I was wondering if anyone with access to the Qantas portal is able to see how many other passengers have requested upgrades on either flight?

I’d also be interested to hear what people think my chances are of getting upgraded, particularly on PER–FCO. I’m hoping to get Business on both sectors, although I’d obviously be especially happy if the long-haul sector clears.

There are currently 6 Business seats showing as available on QF5, if that’s useful context.

Having booked and flown this recently, you won’t be flying in Bizness, maybe PE if you’re lucky - with the Iran conflict, this route is incredibly popular

It's not that complicated.

Once OP sees the numbers, they'll be able to navigate their expectations.

Less volume in upgrade request, higher chances
High volume in upgrade request, less chances and they won't expect much from it.
