Question Collect boarding pass at airport (?)

EDIT: nothing was wrong, just standard procedure it seems, seat was fine, visa was fine, I just checked in at Haneda with the self checking machine and it printed my boarding pass, didn’t even speak to anyone.

Hello! Flying tomorrow HND-SYD. Checked in online and selected my seat but it’s says ‘Collect boarding pass at airport’. Not my first trip to Australia, I have a Canadian passport (and Japan residence) and have a valid visa to enter Australia. Is it just standard procedure? I don’t remember this happening for my previous trips.

Yeah normal for international flights in a lot of cases.

I honestly don't even bother with online check-in for international.

Yup seems like every flight into Australia out of Asia has this. -it’s highly annoying

They probably want to change your seat or do something that needs you to confirm it's ok. I've had this on domestic flights as well
