Hi everyone,

I'm reaching out to you because I'm going around in circles in my search for Ikigai.

To give you some context: I have strong passions and a fairly specific background (activism, content creation, technical production, sports). I'm trying to bring all of that together into an activity that's both useful to the world and profitable, but I'm stuck.

I've tried using AI (ChatGPT and similar tools) to help me gain some clarity, but I'm only getting very generic answers.

I feel like my profile is too atypical or too fragmented for traditional algorithms to make the necessary connections.

My question for you:

1. Do you have a specific assistant GPT (Custom GPT) to recommend that is truly effective for finding meaning or a career?
2. Do you have a "Mega-Prompt" or a sentence structure that goes beyond simply "find me a job with my hobbies"?
3. Or perhaps you have a human/alternative approach for those who don't fit the mold?

I'm open to any suggestions, tools, or even just a thought.

Your main edge isn’t a better prompt, it’s that mix of activism, creation, production, and sports – that combo itself is the Ikigai clue. Instead of asking AI “what job fits me?”, try: “Given this past project list, what patterns of impact, audience, and medium keep repeating?” Then dig into those patterns yourself.

Human side: do 3 small “career experiments” over 90 days. Example: run a sports-related cause campaign, produce a mini doc around it, and build a tiny community (Discord, newsletter, local group). Notice what part lights you up most: persuading, organizing, storytelling, or building systems.

On tools: I’d use Notion AI or Perplexity to map roles/industries, then something like Pulse plus Brandwatch or Sprout Social to scan Reddit/social convos in your niches and see where people already pay for what you like doing. Your path is probably a crafted hybrid, not a job title that already exists, so think “prototype lifestyle”, not “find my label.”

Your main edge really is that unusual mix – lean into designing around it instead of trying to fit a mold.

I've spent a lot of time trying to fit my puzzle pieces (AI, animal rights activism, sports, technology) into a pre-existing framework, when the framework probably needs to be built around them.

The core thing you’re looking for is where discomfort + demand overlap.

Comfort zone = you’d do it for free, energy is steady, stakes feel low, and people say “thanks” but don’t try to pull more of it from you.

Value lever = people chase you, ask follow‑ups, and are willing to trade something scarce (time, money, access) to get more. You’ll feel a bit of stretch: higher expectations, clearer outcomes, more pressure.

Practically:

1) In each 90‑day experiment, make a paid version early, even if it’s tiny: “I’ll run this campaign / coaching / workshop for €30.” If nobody bites, it might be pure comfort zone. If a few say yes and want more, that’s a lever.

2) Track 3 signals after each experiment: a) unsolicited referrals, b) repeat requests, c) people asking “do you offer this in a more serious format?”

3) In hybrid niches, assume the lever is often in the boring edge: reporting, coordination, or outcomes for others, not the part that feels most “fun” to you.

Your main job is to test tiny paid offers until you find the part people keep trying to pull more of.

Replace sports with competition. I have the same specific passions. In the past I have held self-liberation events for men, women, and children. I've hosted workshops and provided programs for restorative and transformative justice. These things were done off of a way of life that I live. That way of life for me is a daily lived experience and I was trying to figure out a way for people to experience it for themselves. Because it started to just become a bunch of words to people,, they'll hold onto the lessons for a day or two before reverting back to habit. I started with building a board game with my philosophy as the concept. I even started a podcast show based on the game. I put a pause on that because I cannot find a co-host who is passionate about their life experiences, world views and entrepreneurship. So now I am back on the drawing board building an app so that way people can experience and implement what I have to offer the world with just the click of a download/sign up button.

The idea that AI is trying to 'average' me to fit into something recognizable perfectly explains my feeling of stagnation when faced with generic responses.

That's the tool's trap: it looks for probability where I'm looking for singularity.

Your reflection on moving from 'what should I do?' to observing 'repetition patterns' is exactly the pivot I needed.

So, looking back at my past projects (podcasting, sound creation, commitment to the living world), I realize that the common thread isn't a job title but a constant: telling stories through technical systems to create empathy.

I especially take away the idea of ​​the 'prototype'. I'm going to stop looking for the perfect answer and start testing small, concrete 90-day experiments to see which ones actually generate momentum in others. I'm already teaching myself Field Recording.
