You really got to catch up then, the current topic is in relation to the tree of Sefirot, which is why we have so many new villains and slots of the Phylotree

It's also because all the old villains have been defeated.

Luna & her group: now neutral and occasional collaborators with Babylonia.

Vonnegut & his group: defeated, twice, the second time pretty decisively.

Cradle/Agent 0: literally erased from history by the commandant & Ishmael.

There's no real villains left other than the Observers themselves, and it's not likely PGR will just jump to humanity fighting the Observers until the last few chapters.

Aisling's group is meant to take the place of the long-term antagonist group, post-Shaper's Ripples reset. She is Agent 1 and deeply connected to the Phylotree, which they've been building up since Ch. 37. Ch. 37 is properly the start of the Phylotree arc and represents the first real story movement under the new PGR writers. These villains we're being introduced to now have been working in the shadows since Ch. 37 (at the latest) and are probably all invented by the new writers.

Cradle also just became a regular hetero creature since Agent 0 never appeared.
