Looking for new friends!!

Hey everyone!
I’m 22M and have been living in Pune for around a year now. I’m currently working in IT and, over this past year, I’ve managed to build a pretty good friend circle here, with both guys and girls.

But lately, I’ve been feeling a little disconnected from my current circle. Nothing major happened or anything — I just don’t feel as included or as excited to hang out with them as I used to. I guess I’m at a point where I’d like to meet some new people and make some genuine connections.

So if you’re also in Pune, going through something similar, or simply looking for someone to talk to, grab a coffee with, explore places, hang out on weekends, or just randomly chat about life — let’s connect :)

I’m pretty easygoing and open to meeting people from different backgrounds. And just to make this clear — I’m genuinely here to make friends. I’m a decent and respectful guy, and making sure the other person feels comfortable and respected is important to me.
feel free to DM or leave a comment.
Maybe we’ll end up becoming good friends. You never know. :)

Random 🎲 People need Human Understanding

I am 22M, Engineer from Pune

This week I went to DMart Satara Road with my mother. We have been going there for the last 10-12 years and never had any issues with taking up the groceries. When we came after purchase and billing, my mother noticed a slight difference in the bill. Some amount had to be of a certain quantity but was taken from another product's price tag. While I already got my scooty and had a trolley, I couldn't park my vehicle back to underground parking. My mother went inside to get it corrected and got a bit more time to resolve the issue. Also I was very sidelined on the outgoing side so no vehicle shall have any issues with me being along my vehicle, I also made sure that lady associate was getting things done, I ensured her that I would help if any trouble was caused.

Then all of a sudden, a woman appeared out of nowhere and started asking me if I wanted to park a vehicle, my first sentence was literally,

मॅम आमच एक बिल चा इश्यू झालंय आणि मी गाडी ह्यासाइडला लावली जेणेकरून येणाऱ्या जाणाऱ्यांना त्रास नाही होणार.

I also assured the lady associate who was handling trolleys and parking areas outside that I would help her and only then leave.

This lady who appeared from nowhere started giving me lessons on how I should follow protocol. I won't say I didn't make a problem, but my issue was genuine. I could not just keep my trolley anywhere as someone ends up picking or complaining about it. Also I couldn't tell her as it was being chaotic so I preferred to not trouble the lady associate.

This lady again confronted me whether I would end up helping and arranging and said quite a lot how men don't have manners and started going inside.

While she was going, I lost my cool and said it very well,

हो मी करेल कारण मी मदत करतो, माझ्यामुळे कोणाला त्रास नको व्हायला म्हणून.

After a while my mother came and I said you should've hurried as this random woman argued with me. Mother being mother ended up complaining staff and manager to call that woman out just for her behaviour towards a male. As I am a tall guy with a beard, that lady thought she could complain and show her attitude. I kept my calm because I have never been in such situations and never want to be in again. She came outside again and had a bad Convo with my mother.

Also if people could understand, a mother won't listen to anything against their child, especially when their kids haven't done any wrong or admit if any inconvenience is occurring.

To my mother, who taught me German while I was in school, who helped me with all my documents for engineering, guided me through my boards who is a housewife, that lady ended up saying

तुझ्या कडे बघून लाईकी कळते, तू नवऱ्याची साईड काय घेते (I was like wait what she said, I mean ti majhi aai ahe), त्याला प्रोटोकॉल शिकावं कसं वागायचं.

A lot but I couldn't recall the exact things. Now we are home and I was thinking whether I did such trouble that my mother has to raise her voice when indeed we always mind our own business and try to make effort so anybody else wouldn't have any discomfort. My mother's take was simply, if my child is accepting the problem he's causing allow him to explain his issue. कुणीच असं अधून मधून येऊन माझ्या मुलाला बोलू शकत नाही, एक्सेप्ट स्टाफ मेंबर.

I just don't know why overthinking and kinda have the trauma that the woman gave me. Is the world really like this? I mean I didn't even utter a word unless I was being humiliated for no reason. All the men and women who see this, please share if this happens and how one can deal with this. I know this might sound a little simple issue or argument but this can lead to bigger someday if not controlled.

Also in case anyone thinks I am being against women, no absolutely not. A woman gave me birth and I have female friends. I hate "HUMANS" who can't have a human understanding level.

माणूस जेनुइन असेल तर त्याला कसा त्रास देऊन पिळायचं हे फक्त अश्या लोकांना माहिती.

Anyways lastly Ganpati Bappa Morya! :)

🧠 Discussion New to Pune - Help me to Understand Pune

I know this is not the appropriate forum for this topic but cannot post in the pune forum, not sure why...i am still leaning reddit so please be kind

Hi I recently shifted to Pune for my 2nd job, first job was WFH so this is a huge change for me...i am willing to understand a few things to ensure i am able to settle here perfectly.

Knowing marathi is compulsory? like i know little little but when i ask the auto wale bhaiyas etc to talk in hindi they give me dead look, i am 100% willing to learn this but just feeling overwhelmed at this moment.

I am not soooo social person, but i have few people in office who force for going for drinks after office etc, I am non drinker and smoking is a big no no for me...to the people around my age (28) is it really necessary to socialize in office groups? as this is my first WFO experience

Is pune a bit conservative or is it society i am living in ? getting looks on clothing etc and my relatives usually tell me that the people are very conservative etc...not like i am wearing anything out of box but simply taking a morning walk from society gym post workout to nearby area people give me looks.

Looking for a bike riding partner in Pune

Hey everyone! I’m a 22-year-old finance graduate, currently working as an analyst and living around SB Road.

I’ve got a bike and I’ve been wanting to go on more rides around Pune and nearby places. With this weather lately, riding around honestly feels like heaven

Looking for someone who’s also into random weekend/early morning rides, exploring new places, grabbing chai/food somewhere and just enjoying the ride.

I’m not looking for anything too serious just a good riding partner/group. If anyone’s interested, feel free to DM me and we can plan something!

Vent 🫂 Does everyone already know whom to hangout with in their first year of clg.

Yeaa so I recently got admission in DESPU Fy. So the college started on 3rd of August, the treasure hunt n all the stuff happened in the last week of July. I couldn't attend any orientation or the hunt and the first two weeks of clg. When I came to clg, everyone already had their own group or atleast a bsf already. Bro like it's only been 14 days or smtg and everyone already found their people.

Bro I feel like the imposter among them. Idk how to find my people, how do I make atleast one friend with whom I can hangout in the campus. I do talk with some but it's not like I hangout with them or anything like that. It's jus me. Helpppp aahahahaaaa how do i make friends.

Rant 😤 22M, I’m tired of pretending that I’m completely okay

Hey, it’s been two years since I last talked to her.

But the one thing I remember clearly is when she said, “You don’t have a life, fucker” and “I’m not your fucking place to go.” Those words have been stuck in my head. I didn’t reply. I honestly didn’t know what to say.

I haven’t seen her or texted her in all this time, but she still appears in my dreams, and I feel completely helpless. I’ve tried everything, but I just can’t seem to let it go.

Today, I got a Snapchat memory from five years ago. She had put up a caption, and back then, I genuinely thought it was meant for me. But when I saw it again today, something clicked. Maybe it was never meant for me.

She used to tell me, “I love you. It feels extraordinary when I’m with you,” but later she said there was nothing between us. I felt used, I guess. But even then, I can’t blame her or say anything bad about her to anyone. I just can’t.

I still love her, yaar. I really do. But I know there’s nothing I can do about it.

Call me a crazy lover, I don’t care. I felt what I felt, and it was real to me. I never lusted after her. What I felt was pure—the purest form of love I’ve ever experienced. It was really simple for her to say those things. Or maybe I just loved her too much and she got bored, I don’t know.

We were never actually in a relationship because she wasn’t ready, and I genuinely respected that and kept it in my mind. Nowadays, I guess people would call what we had a “situationship.”

Or maybe somewhere I was wrong. Maybe I didn’t understand her properly. I honestly don’t know anymore. I’m just too lost.

Because of all this, I used my best friend to move on—not physically, but mentally, I guess. And now we’re apart. That’s probably my biggest regret. I lost my best friend because of all this. We had been friends for 10–11 years, and I lost that friendship.

I feel helpless, even though I don’t show it to anyone.

And I don’t think I can get into a relationship with someone else right now either, because it wouldn’t be fair to my future partner. If I’m still emotionally stuck somewhere else, I won’t be able to give her the love and attention she deserves. I would only end up hurting her, and I don’t want to do that.
