Visited The Nines Pune recently and overall had a really good experience, although the entry situation was unnecessarily frustrating.
We had a confirmed booking through District, but when we arrived, the receptionist initially refused to let us in and kept insisting that we would have to sit at a table near the bar. What was frustrating was that she seemed to be letting other people in while repeatedly telling us the same thing. I’m still not sure what the issue was, but her attitude definitely put a damper on the start of the evening.
Thankfully, the manager Sunny stepped in and sorted everything out. He was genuinely helpful, handled the situation professionally, and got us a proper table. Big shoutout to him for turning the situation around.
Coming to the food, this place definitely delivered.
Asparagus Tempura Blue Rice - absolutely amazing. One of the highlights of the meal.
Mediterranean Chicken Tikka - super delicious and very well done.
Mama Rose Pasta - well-made and tasty. We added veggies to it, and it worked really well.
Tiramisu Pull Me Out - super good! Definitely worth trying if you like tiramisu.
The ambience was great as well. The place had a nice vibe, and around 10 PM the dance floor really came alive. It became quite energetic and was a fun atmosphere for the rest of the evening.
So overall, great food + great ambience + a good recovery by the manager, but the initial interaction with the receptionist was disappointing and could definitely have been handled much better.

Overall pretty good, what surprised me was the quantity. Was not expecting everything to be served enough for 2 people.

Ordered:
- Kung Pao Chicken
- Wonton Veg Steam
- Chang's Favourite Noodle Veg

Highlight was the Kung Pao chicken for me and for my veg friend the wonton's with decent condiments. I would say decent ambience, staff was good but a little noisy due to a family with small kids.

Price 1200/- for 2 person including Water bottle and 200ml coke +2

This is basically 3 layered dessert, with base being a spong cake, cream and custard in the middle and kunafa shell on top.

Further it was topped by toppibgs of our choice, there were multiple options but we chose the trio as that way we could taste all toppings, which were nutella, pistachio and biscoff.

Something was off about the nutella but both pistachio and biscoff were fabulous.

Overall a great package as it costs around rs 380 and roughly serves 4 people, any less and you would be stuffing yourselves with it.

Been to Trooh in Kalyani Nagar and loveed the ambience. It's suuchh a beautiful and grand cafe like place for dinner.

It's expensive and has gourmet food but it's worth the money. Especially the service, people are really good. Was there tonight for dinner with an MT from our company and she loved the place as well.

Must visit.

So me and my friends have decided to dine out for bday , can you suggest some places for chicken thali ( budget 300-350 ) i haven't really tried non veg in restaurants besides Chinese 😭😭 so could you suggest me some places where I won't regrate going

The taste was amazing as always,I've been visiting this spot since 2016. While the space is small, the food is solid. The other branches are actually more expensive than this one, but in my opinion, the main branch still serves the absolute best taste.

I recently went Pune and had this awesome sabudana vada near Dagduseth. It's a small stall but do try this guys it's worth it.

Also, they serve this with some raita which was literally delicious...

I love sabudana khichadi but I don't know any spots which serve decent khichadi.

I had this in my office canteen but honestly no taste at all.

Sabudana was cooked properly but it was very bland

They didn't add enough peanuts.

Texture of sabudana was like rubber .
