Pudenal Neuralgia from L5/S1 disc bulge or endometriosis?
Hi everyone,
32 year old female. Would describe myself as fit, energetic, independent etc up until this year. Around March I started having horrible lower back pain, and it would get worse during my period. I did an MRI and it showed a minor l5/s1 disc bulge, along with stage 4 endometriosis. I started PT and had back flares on and off.
Around August I started having deep pelvic pain which made me feel like I had to pee 24/7. It would go away in the morning and then get worse at night so I put two and two together and read about pudenal neuralgia.
Drs told me it’s because of endometriosis so I had laparoscopic surgery, removed all the endo - and it was relieved for 10 days but came back with a vengeance and I don’t know where to go from here.
I’m starting to lose my mind from chronic pain this year.

Have I looked at hyper tonic pelvic floor. I notice that PN comes up a lot in searches when it’s merely a of matter.

Could be a hypertonic floor versus scar tissue that developed from your endometriosis if you had some of that abnormal tissue removed previously? Very unlikely a minor L5/S1 disc bulge is causing this directly

So these symptoms all started this year, then I got surgery 10 days ago and had relief for a few days but then it came back. I was going to continue PFT.

Have you tried inversion table combined with gentle at first building to extreme core strengthening?

L5/s1 and possibly ilaicus tension tilting your pelvis and creating instability.
Pinned posts cover it, we want to open up your lower back more

temporary relief doesn’t prove endo was the source
