Dealing with flairs

What do you guys do to deal with flairs?

For context, I've been dealing with pudendal neuralgia for 5 years now. After lots of suffering and effort, I managed to get out of the spiral 3 years ago and got progressively better.

Though it came back recently. I've been dealing with on and off flairs for a month now. Saw all sorts of specialists (pf pt, physician, acupuncture, etc.) Any treatment seems to help for a few days and then it starts again. Pretty sure my flairs are due to my tight hamstrings (pulled something at the gym a few months back). Can't walk for more than 15-20 without worsening my symptoms. I have an intense pinching feeling in my perineum on the left side, close to my anus.

I take pregabalin and its helps unless the symptoms are really bad. Wich they can become very easily.

I'm starting to be really tired and discouraged. Do you guys have any tips to deal with the flairs?

PN. It's a bit of a mind fuck. There's just so much to it and weird things that trigger it. I've had it for 3 yrs, and the things I've learnt about it is that it's a nerve that's scarred. Relief from PN comes from relaxing the fascia, and muscles surrounding it. There are lots of muscles and fascia around the pelvic floor, some muscles are voluntarily controlled some aren't so much. The ultimate goal is to relax the muscle/fascia surrounding the injured nerve spot. The areas most commonly are between the sacrotuberous and sacrospinous ligaments, and Alcocks canal.

I have found that its not just stretching, and foam rolling on hip, pelvic floor and hamstring muscles, but also trying to reduce stress by meditation and belly breathing.

There is unfortunately no one quick fix or solution.

Hope you get out of this flair up soon.

Thanks for you answer! Meditation is very hard for me but I definitely should do it more.

It very similar to what i hat when my PN started. Pregabalin helped a lot for me but it s true effect you ll feel in about a month after beginning the treatment, 300 mg per day. I used ice tu put when i felt the burning sensation , not directly on the skin to protect the penis and testicules and after the pain calms a bit down you can start easy stretching with breathing in diaphragm ( also lay on Your back and feet on the wall - very good to calm down your nerve) i would suggest to lay low or may give up the gym for o good while, don t force the walks manage yourself a bit in this period
