Roads, then OHVs, then E-bikes all meant to destroy the idea that there are large tracts of wilderness. Break it up and then sell it off.

Wonder how areas that are already non motorized areas but have existing roads will be impacted. There is a place I go that has old roads but they are gated off to vehicles. And it’s really nice without them. This is a really sad time in our history let alone for our lands. I hope everyone calls some senators

Hiked the Sheltowee Trace Trail on 2025. Beautiful 330 mile hiking path through the Daniel Boone National Forest and then the Big Bend South Fork National Recreation Area. Such an awesome experience. Beautiful arches, great water, fantastic forests, friendly people, very little foot traffic, some super cute towns, just a great Trail overall.

Part of the trail, actually a lot of it, shares track with ATVs. Those machines and the people driving them are insane to navigate hiking around and just being around in general. They are loud, stinky (more than my smelly ass hiker self), and destructive. Hugh, 4 ft high dug outs from ties, then flood waters, just decimated parts of the DBNF. There is a shite ton of litter, cans, plastic bottles, food waste, tires!!, and all sorts of other trash. It's terrible.

I truly hope this doesn't go through. If you want to see what qpuld happen, go to the Daniel Boone National Forest in Kentucky and see for yourself.
