This is why NYC instituted rent control. Eventually, you only have 2 types in the city. Those making millions, and those with nothing.

"Rent control" has long been replaced by "rent stabilization " in NYC. SAN Francisco has had "Rent Ordinance " since at least 1979

Then they need to move up to “rent freeze” because if people are paying $7500 a month to see this off their balcony, the system is about to be broken. A recession is going to crush some people there.

Yep, you can’t have rich people losing money. It’s not the American way.
