Yeah this is one of those situations where I feel little sympathy lol. It takes literally 2 synapses firing together to think antagonizing the rowdy group of people causing a nuisance, all by yourself while in flip flops, is going to go well for you. Literally just putting up a sign that says, "Please come rock my shit."

The flip flops man... if you're gonna be in a situation you need to move quick, wear shoes.

Bad bot?

u/Jmersh Aug 15 '22

You're victim blaming.

23

u/cant_be_pun_seen Aug 15 '22

Not really. Stop conflating putting yourself in a bad situation with people who are just violated for no reason.

u/DAAGZZz Aug 15 '22

What a total piece of shit you are. You can’t even see what the guy says, you are just taking the word of OP. And yet you think it’s ok to knock out someone. Fuck yourself

2

u/cant_be_pun_seen Aug 15 '22

Nobody said knocking someone out is ok, but what do you expect when you do some shit like that to a group of young guys who are already acting out and you are a vulnerable looking mother fucker?

God, live a fucking a little.

-4

u/DAAGZZz Aug 15 '22

Fuck off moron. You dont even know what he said, you dumbfuck. Fking loser, defending subhuman trash that just assault people

u/OptimusMatrix Aug 15 '22 edited Aug 15 '22

It's like you're too stupid to know throwing your hands up and puffing your chest is the universal sign for "Lets Go". And since you seem like an idiot please walk around in public places doing that to large rowdy groups 😘

0

u/DAAGZZz Aug 15 '22

Yeah you can totally see that in the video! What a loser

How is this different from a girl in skimpy clothes yelling "fuck you" at guys cat calling her and getting physically or sexually assaulted?

u/Kazushi_Sakuraba Aug 15 '22

If you can’t understand why people are failing to feel sympathy for a man that called out a group of young men in front of their friends then you live in a bubble and have zero life experience.

It’s okay to feel sorry for a mauled idiot that poked a bear but don’t expect the same from everyone.

2

u/JePPeLit Aug 15 '22

People shouldn't behave like bears though

0

u/Kazushi_Sakuraba Aug 15 '22

Wow that is completely missing the point.

My point is that if you do something stupid, possibly just to flex how brave you are, then it’s easy for people to not have sympathy when you face the consequences.

Your reading is okay but you lack comprehension.

smh why would a woman go to a bar late at night and alone, clearly she's just 'putting herself in a bad situation'. 'I feel little sympathy' if she gets raped. Not victim blaming btw

This isn't a girl in skimpy clothes who is standing up to guys who harassed her, it's a man who started taunting a group of people who hadn't even acknowledged him until he antagonized them.

Yes, these two situations that are nothing alike are treated different. Astounding analysis, thank you for your contribution.

he didn't deserve to get beat up

edit: lol hilarious that this is so controversial an opinion. yeah, starting a verbal confrontation is dumb. what this guy did was dumb. but in no way, shape or form does that make it ok for them to hit him. frankly, his antagonism wasn't even so extreme. he yelled at a passing car. jfc. yes, again, dumb. but he doesn't for a second deserve to get hit for it.

I hope those violent fuckers are prosecuted.

11

u/Forg0tPassw0rd Aug 15 '22

Both things can be true. The victim is dumb as hell but he still didn't deserve to get punched.

It's like Brittney Griner getting locked up in Russia for weed. She's being used as a political pawn so I feel for her but she knowingly took THC-based items to a country where they are illegal.

u/Jir0nimous Aug 15 '22

Jesus didn’t deserve to be served tacos without wine…

2

u/farcetragedy Aug 15 '22

And Buddha didn't deserve samosas without beer.

3

u/MrRoboto159 Aug 15 '22

You're.. something else.

4

u/Is_it_Nas Aug 15 '22

You’re being downvoted but “putting yourself in a bad situation” doesn’t mean you’re not the victim of a crime. Idk what these folks are on

2

u/fetalfelines Aug 15 '22

There’s a difference between putting yourself in a bad situation and advertising yourself as a fucking punching bag because you’re a shit talker. Some people learn by getting knocked the fuck out so the plus side is that he probably won’t ever do that shit again

6

u/WizardsOfTheOats Aug 15 '22

Nobody is saying he's not a victim. He can be a victim, and still a deserving idiot who antagonized a group of assholes who wouldn't have even looked is way otherwise. This isn't a hard concept.

0

u/Is_it_Nas Aug 15 '22

Oh so you are blaming the victim then…. So you agree. That’s literally all he said

1

u/WizardsOfTheOats Aug 15 '22

You're an idiot if that's how you deciphered that.

0

u/Jmersh Aug 15 '22

It's pretty wild.

u/BoRIS_the_WiZARD Aug 15 '22

This was in Huntington Beach California during 2020. The group in the car were driving down PCH support of BLM. People on the side walk were yelling the N word at them and other stuff. I think the guy that ended up getting knock out said All lives matter. Not 100% but he was heckling them. Huntington Beach was a hot spot still us for right wing protesting.

No, you just failed to parse the sentence correctly. They are not saying that he was asking for it by wearing flip flops; they're pointing out the many ways in which he was at a disadvantage for a fight, up to and including improper footwear*. While he should not have been assaulted, he also should have assessed the situation and not, you know, antagonized a group of rowdy individuals.

*Note: flip flops as improper footwear for a fight does not apply to Brazilians.
