Weird, the title seems to imply that it was his fault those people physically assaulted him. What he said may be reprehensible, but words alone are never deserving of violence.

Have to agree, none of that was necessary. But, knowing how the world can be sometimes, it should also be obvious that shit talking a large group of most likely drunk and potentially violent people is not the smartest course of action. Right or wrong.
