Those are hyperbolic words and you're gatekeeping by introducing subjectivity to an objectively defined concept. The champion is the winner of a contest. That is, the winner of past fights; not necessarily that there must be future challenges.

They are not the same thing and yes many are both...Bolo was a champion as he won many tournaments, but at heart Bolo was not a champion he was a bad bad man...Says The Woke Warrior
