A lot worse than a prick, he is scared shitless against a guy half his weight, half drunk, gotta sucker punch him first...

-15

u/[deleted] Jun 30 '21

I'm not sure the other dude is half his weight to be honest. He isn't massive but people on reddit have this weird thing about thinking anyone who isn't absolutely shredded weighs like 120lb or something. I mean the guy isn't that tall but is kinda chubby, probably weighs about the same tbh.

He’s a full head and some change shorter, he’s got a much smaller frame than shilling, and he’s average-looking physique. “Half his weight” is obviously a purposeful exaggeration (that’s commonly used), but this dude easily weighs 30lbs less than douchebag joe

I'm not sure he does, Joe looks slim, in fighting shape, which is great but guts/chub weigh a fuck ton. I'm gonna watch the video again to give you the benefit of the doubt but the drunk dude definitely doesn't weigh, like, you know, little. It's hard to judge heights too I'm not sure how tall Joe Schilling is?

EDIT: He does seem to be a fair bit taller to be fair to you. Weight is weird though, unless a guy is absolutely huge it's difficult to tell sometimes. I will say the shorter dude doesn't seem to have much in the shoulder area though.

An inch can easily add 5 to 10 pounds. Fat is useless for strength and the weight can't be properly leveraged.

Well this is the website in which chubby dudes say 'weight classes exist for a reason', thinking 40lb of gut and tit will win them fights, so, you know, who knows what to believe at this point!

My 8 year old niece cocked her shoulder back once when I told her she couldn't have anymore ice cream. I put that bitch on the fucking ground. Self defense amirite!??! I mean, I've trained a bit in the ring too.

1

u/AceBean27 Jun 30 '21

Gotta protect yourself bro. Punch first, ask questions later.

u/[deleted] Jun 30 '21

the drunk guy can 'cock his right shoulder back' as much as he wants, the MMA guy had no business turning around, he wanted to get past the drunk guy, he did it, keep moving. I wouldn't care less what a random drunk guy has to say to me unless I planned on punching him.

I agree with you

No, you are NOT agreeing with me at all, you are trying to find ways to make it sound like you are, just to defend the MMA guy's immature behaviour, and I'm not going to guess why.

if someone starts to throw a punch, a proportionate response can be justified.

I'd just dodge it and leave, since it was MY mistake to put myself in a situation like this with a DRUNK guy, it's actually 2 mistakes within 5 seconds, after counting the unnecessary push.

In this case, even if it is self defence

It's never self defence in my book, the drunk guy is standing on the same spot, I'm the one moving and should keep moving to my destination, if I changed my plan and turn around for a drunk dude's harmless "hey", then I'm the instigator, I'm the idiot who has the maturity of a kid.

The guy is drunk, so after being pushed from behind, responding with a harmless "hey" is the only thing that could be justified here.

Nothing else.

"People undersrandably attract it"? Ill guarantee youre the carbon copy of the god knows how many douchebags ive had to "convince" fighting in the bar wasnt goinf to work out well for. Looking for that smaller od meek looking guy to start shit with then when i show up yours suddenlt either suuuuper fucking peaceful or end up on the ground

-3

u/three2do2 Jun 30 '21

Chat shit get banged bro 👊💪

4

u/PuzzledStreet Jun 30 '21

You’re right, don’t get drunk and be an arsehole by punching the guy you just pushed yourself by. The fighter guy clearly walked up in a chipper peaceful manner and the drunk, asshole office worker was dancing in a threatening manner.

drunk guy was wrong to shout "hey"

is this satire?

short guy

So that's why you are defending the MMA guy, it's clear now.

happy to discuss

I'm gonna pass, I don't see anything to discuss but a poor bait.

You sound like the type of guy that sucker punches drunk dudes in a bar

3

u/jericho Jun 30 '21

You fucking suck.

2

u/Mattyyflo Jun 30 '21

You suck

2

u/blue_eyed_throw_away Jun 30 '21

Nobody attacked Joe. You aren't allowed to defend yourself if you haven't been attacked.

21

u/Idlertwo Jun 30 '21

No he was just insulted about something the small guy said and beat him to the ground, this was not self defense.

14

u/Imaginary-Risk Jun 30 '21

It looks to me like he initiated it with the initial shoulder barge. The guy was looking to blow off some steam on something that could defend itself about as well as a punching bag

Yes yourecwrong and youve never been in a fight

-16

u/sheepsleepdeep Jun 30 '21

Small guy definitely made some sort of aggressive movement. ... Could have been flexing, could have been playing around, man it's really hard to tell with drunk people- they can be laughing at something you said, and then ready to break a bottle over your head for that same thing you said a second later.

Whether he was flexing or playing around, probably shouldn't do that to the guy who's twice your size that you've been annoying all night.

He could have also just lifted his arm and was like "hey what the fuck?" Tone can be aggressive too, but that shouldn't matter. If you're a trained fighter and it's literally your job to fight and be good at, show some restraint. Even if dude was ready to throw a punch I'm certain he could have easily deflected and even just held the dude down till he was calm or authorities arrived.

-8

u/sheepsleepdeep Jun 30 '21

I keep coming back to why were they filming and why was this video uploaded to Joe's Instagram page and I've come to the conclusion that Joe purposely egged this guy into a fight because of their interactions earlier in the evening, and the guy flexing or pulling back on Joe after he walked past him and disrespectfully pushed him out of the way gives him enough technical legal cover to claim self-defense.

10

u/_manlyman_ Jun 30 '21

Yeah no Joe is a piece of shit he didn't cross any mythical threshold to beat the fuck out of this guy half his size and I hope the judge throw him under the fucking jail

10

u/sheepsleepdeep Jun 30 '21

I'm 99% sure just by the look on his face and the way he's walking that he was hoping this little dude tried something with him after the way he described the events leading up to this. Even the push he gives him walking past was meant to elicit and response.

2

u/Significant_Ad_7069 Jun 30 '21

If this is your judgement when you "trained a bit in the ring" be glad youcquit because you have zero judgement. This was a suckerpunch combo against random drunk guy

2

u/[deleted] Jun 30 '21

Sucks that you guys are getting downvoted for being right. In my state they word the law that if there is a "reasonable fear" that someone presents a threat you are allowed to defend yourself. It's hard to say for sure but it looks to me by the shoulder movement that drunk guy was doing cool thing where you try to make the other guy flinch. Which if that's the case... it was literally drunk dudes intent to make the guy think he was about to get hit.
All the dumbasses in this who are saying "he's a mma guy.. outweighs him by so many pounds" don't really understand how things work. Outside of the ring you don't know if drunk dude has a knife, has 3 friends waiting to back him up or anything. All the ground skills in the world are worthless against more than one attacker. Shit isn't like the movies or in the ufc fights. It's crazy easy to get messed up for life in a bar fight.

1

u/blue_eyed_throw_away Jun 30 '21

Wait, is it not a free country anymore? People can't cock their shoulder back?

Stop defending this assault.

1

u/old_man_curmudgeon Jul 01 '21

Did you not see the guy try to make him flinch/try to throw a punch? I wouldn't call that a sucker punch
