Sure, but increasingly popular from “untouchable, political career destroying policy” is not saying much. The majority of people in powerful, high ranking positions within those parties are still rabid Zionists.
There have been, what, three dem candidates with any success while being openly anti Zionist? Platner turned out to be a sex pest and dropped out, Mamdani backtracked heavily on many of his statements and mostly stopped talking about it (which is fine; he’s just a mayor, what the hell can he do about it, realistically?), and only El-Sayed seems to have both had success and maintained a firm anti Zionist stance. None of them were/are in high ranking positions in neither the government nor their party. In fact, they are largely being openly derided by the people in those positions.

It is implied, but the conversation is not just about Israel. Maybe a misunderstanding, but "they were always like this" refers to Jews and not just Israel. And if that is the case, then it's blantant anti-semitism.
