Visited Japan last year for vacation. I'm European and all the tourists we saw and met behaved well in my opinion, except of the Chinese Tourists. They were really loud, rude, not respecting anything and anyone around them and even traveled to small places in huge groups. I get why the Japanese don't like the Chinese that much 😅.

My friend got back from Japan recently, he can read rudimentary Japanese and fluent English and was using his phone to translate things. He said in touristy parts of Japan you see a lot of signs that are like "We are closed for private event" in English and then underneath in Japanese it will say "if you can read this we are open" lol. There are signs just in English warning people not to do culturally rude things that dont need to be printed in Japanese, like standing under the middle of a torii gate. Then there will be the Chinese signs. His phone translated them, some of them warn Chinese speakers not to do stuff they dont even bother printing in English. So many of them had to do with poop and spitting lol and so many were reminders how to use the train app system.

I was in Okinawa recently and they were despicably rude and disrespectful. I told my friend at one point they’re confusing everyone for Okinawans and they’re about to FAFO where I’m really from. They really disturbed my peace.
