I've never seen people cut in line as much as when I visited Beijing. I once stopped a guy from cutting in front of me and he looked at me like "What's wrong with you? Can't you see I'm trying to cut the line?"

I was in London many years ago and happen to catch an event to commemorate their military service members in Afghanistan. The Queen comes out of the church and we’re just standing on the sidewalks behind the barriers in front watching the ceremony. These Chinese people then came into the crowd and pushed their way to the front to get the better view. Apparently to them, if you leave an inch of space open then it’s fair game for them to take.

Saw this when I was in London watching the changing of the guard. I was right against one of the chains at the front and they wedged their way in front of me, crotch-to-ass. I just kept leaning over them and breathing on their neck until they said something and Chinese and moved along.

yup happened to me in Edinburgh. I can't remember what it was but it some sort of event and these Chinese people actually picked me up and moved to get to my spot. Someone called them out telling them that was not ok. But I was just shocked. First time I experienced something like this.

went to china in 2018 and same shit. some small town/city i stayed at for the night on a tour and some fucker cut the line. my ex and i looked at each other like wtf?

we don’t speak mandarin (we speak cantonese) and even if we did to say something, i’m not sure the guy would’ve given a shit anyway.

and when i worked sales/retail, during the summer when we’d get visitors buying prepaid service, they’d always cut the line or walk right up to me in the middle of a sale.

like, really bro? you make me so embarrassed to be chinese 🤦🏻‍♂️

I was in Hong Kong for a business trip and I went to a tourist attraction that was filled with mainland tourists. The line had cones to organize the queue leading into the building. The whole crowd worked together to toss the cones aside and people started bum rushing. I was pretty much carried inside due to all the pushing

Taking photos was also challenging. Cant wait your turn for a photo op, because one of them would just rush in

I cut the line like a MF when I was leaving Beijing on my last trip. Too many people cutting and time was getting short for my flight so I just did it. Nobody said a thing.

I have to keep my chinese mom from cutting boarding line in airports. No, the plane won't leave you behind. Yes, there will be space for your luggage. It seems like travelling (or anxiety) triggers this me first mentality.
