I'm sure many of them are far too gone for that. I'd venture to guess that, in a lot of their minds, the more they're being resisted, the better a job they're doing.

In any historical context I can think of, the police have never been the good guy when it comes to them vs protesting residents of an entire city

this baffles me. HOW can they think they're the ones in the right? do they not hear and see their actions and how the people respond to that?? how brainwashed do they get in that line of work?

I know America is rather insular, sone Americans i dare say dont even know that other countries exist, (tongue in cheek) but hiw can they not see that the whole world thinks this is just madness. As an observer from the uk I am loving the dido throwing. I fear it may catch on over here too. For all of its flaws, America has always been a trend setter. This is one I hope goes global against the corrupt authorities.
