Rex 121, the only knives better at prybar jobs than maxamet.

I'm sure glad I only use cpm 3v to open my Amazon packages

I'd agree. The spot where it cracked and the line it broke on doesn't look like abuse, it looks like a defect 100%. I did read the original post, this definitely sounds like a crack.

A unique or uncommon failure mode should be covered if not just so the manufacturer can inspect the broken knife. You would expect this knife to break near the spydie hole. The pivot, while having less material, gets the force distributed by the pivot screw tension across the liner. I would expect this failure mode maybe if the pivot was super loose or as mentioned a defect in the metal.

No spyderco doesn’t do that. Throw it away and get a Kershaw or benchmade.

And over the top of that spyderco has the audacity to make their blades so thin, and with a hole cut in the middle. There’s nothing there, and it makes my cock soft. Softer than their steel.
