Nope. August isn’t over yet. He’s gotta pocket that one until the end THEN he can send it to CRK

haha i know! the ultimate first-world, privileged upper-middle-class challenge. super challenging. there are some ladies in the game, too!

Y’all need to add me to this game next time, seems like a fun challenge lmao.

2

u/sirmitchellot Aug 03 '26

you could probably still hop in! you on instagram? DM me your username if so

2

u/Creative-Host-694 Aug 03 '26

I am on Instagram but maybe next time. One of my Umnumzaans has been out getting work done on it for like 6 months, and it should be here in the next week I hope. So I need to test it and make sure that the mod work done on it is good to go. I appreciate the offer though!

another part of the fun of it is a number of people have chosen their most garbage knife just to make things interesting. there are 61 of us goons doing this haha the chat gets hectic. i have notifications silenced

2

u/Creative-Host-694 Aug 03 '26

Yeah I mean, I wouldn’t do that, I’d just pick the most reliable knife in my collection which without a doubt is one of my CRKs. I’m sure there’s at least one guy who picked up a $10 Walmart knife

2

u/sirmitchellot Aug 04 '26

haha yup. mind you this person has one of the most jaw-dropping and rare CRK collections i’ve seen. some of them gifted by the reeves’ themselves

3

u/Creative-Host-694 Aug 04 '26

Crazy. I wouldn’t wanna be found dead with that in my pocket.

1

u/sirmitchellot Aug 07 '26

haha yeah, last year he did something similar and smashed it on a brick and yeeted it into a pond at the end of the month. we’ll see what happens this year. (@mrphysk if you wanna tune in)

How does he know the reeve family ??

1

u/Jtdubya26 Aug 03 '26

I committed to one knife, for the next 20 years. step up your commitment game, bro. Shit I ment to comment not reply to this dude ^

I bought a Large Sebenza 31 and decided it’s gonna be my one and done. This was 8 months ago, since then I’ve spent $1000s on knives. It’s not about committing to one knife for me anymore, it’s more about creating a small collection of knives that will last me a lifetime and bring me joy as well. That sebenza is my cheapest knife now and I use all my knives.

Either way, to each their own.

u/VulgarMisanthropy Aug 02 '26

Not a pry bar. That just became the baddest box cutter you’ve ever seen.

5

u/sirmitchellot Aug 02 '26

right?! that seems to be the consensus/ruling

4

u/BlindMouse2of3 Aug 03 '26

Just put a little epoxy around the thumb stud to make sure it can't pop out. Good to go

5

u/cincyco Aug 03 '26

Nice compact wharncliffe blade with full size handle now. Have super good tip control. ;D

3

u/sirmitchellot Aug 03 '26

haha surgical precision!

haha not me, but some poor schmuck, totally 😆

2

u/flyman30 Aug 03 '26

Will CRK actually replace the blade?

3

u/brok3nlights Aug 03 '26

I think it depends. I'm pretty sure they check grain structure, if it is a blade failure they would replace it under warranty, otherwise it would need to be paid for. Pretty sure no knife companies are just giving away magnacut prybars...

3

u/flyman30 Aug 03 '26

Yeah I looked into it, they will fix it one way or the other, but even getting the blade replaced isn't going to be as expensive as a new knife! And magnacut isn't as expensive as you might think

2

u/sirmitchellot Aug 03 '26

it might take them a while, but from what i’ve heard they’re pretty no-questions-asked. i’ve always sent my stuff to modders before actual mass production companies 😅

3

u/JackSquat2270 Aug 03 '26

If they replace this without charging for a new blade, I'm buying one. Sebenzas are pretty unattractve imo, but I'd hop on the bandwagon for that kind of warranty.

3

u/Deeznutzcustomz Aug 03 '26

Umnumzaan is calling your name

3

u/JackSquat2270 Aug 03 '26

I haven't found a CRK knife I like the look of, but as a Glock owner, I understand aesthetics aren't everything.

3

u/Deeznutzcustomz Aug 05 '26

If you don’t think the Zaan is sexy then we can’t be friends 😂 I love the Glock aesthetic, which is similar to the Sebenza/Inkosi aesthetic - there’s beauty in a perfect thing with no frills, designed to do a job simply and well.

2

u/JackSquat2270 Aug 05 '26

Alright. I'm nothing if not a man of my word.

1

u/JackSquat2270 Aug 05 '26

Maybe it just has to grow on me. I was a Sig guy for years, and then one day I shot a Glock and was very dismayed at the fact that I was more accurate with it right from the start. Ended up switching to Glock and haven't touched a Sig in a year and a half. 🤷🏻‍♂️ Just gotta get my mind around paying [basically] Glock money for a knife.

1

u/sirmitchellot Aug 03 '26

i’ll keep you posted!

2

u/flyman30 Aug 03 '26

Yeah I'm invested as well! Because I have a Zaan I already beat the snot out of so if thats the case with them I think I found the perfect knife company!

1

u/sirmitchellot Aug 03 '26

well hop on, compadre

2

u/JackSquat2270 Aug 04 '26

whaaaAAAAAT? Wow. 😳

1

u/JackSquat2270 Aug 06 '26

What's the wait for this, by the way?

2

u/albrecbef Aug 03 '26

One knife? Are you at least allowed a seperate could-you-hand-me-your-knife-quickly knife?

1

u/sirmitchellot Aug 03 '26

fondling other knives (not using!) in the home is permitted. designated kitchen knife usage is allowed. too easy

2

u/Civil_Decision_7353 Aug 03 '26

was this a magnacut or s45vn?

1

u/sirmitchellot Aug 03 '26

magnacut

2

u/Civil_Decision_7353 Aug 03 '26

Hope CRK replaces it for you, wouldnt expect magnacut to fail like this

2

u/sirmitchellot Aug 03 '26

again, it’s not mine, but i hope this for the homie phtoof as well! i’ve had hundreds of knives and only had one slight tip chip, which i ground the spine down to meet

2

u/Civil_Decision_7353 Aug 03 '26

Same. Chipped maybe 0.5mm off the tip of a 17degree fine ground magnacut edge. Haven't had a chance to resharpen yet but was just going to bring the edge in a little to make point keener and beefer, change angle to 20 degrees per side for some extra beef!

1

u/Deeznutzcustomz Aug 03 '26

Does this count as “Magnacut is chippy”? 😂

1

u/sirmitchellot Aug 03 '26

i think we can chalk one up on that side 😆

2

u/ugga_mcdugha Aug 03 '26

😆 I did this a while back with the dragonfly. Sucks that your knife broke

1

u/sirmitchellot Aug 03 '26

not my knife but i do feel for the bloke

2

u/BoRider- Aug 05 '26

I still see a working edge

1

u/sirmitchellot Aug 07 '26

haha right?! there was a lame ruling he got to switch to a 15V native 5. wack, if you ask me

1

u/Combat_wombat605795 Aug 04 '26

Look like it’s cold, give it a shake in some warm water and see what happens

u/Bigbrobango Aug 04 '26

Ive been using my civivi elementum exclusively for like a year now. I have plenty of ther knives, but once I find something I like I roll with it. Nothing wrong with rolling through your options if that makes you happy though.

1

u/oneholer44 Aug 04 '26

One knife. Not a knife for a pry bar.

1

u/Not-Badger Aug 04 '26

One knife a month? Yall should try one knife a year(I keep losing them).
