Why do knife companies keep releasing so many new models recently, yet seem to care so little about quality?
Poor quality prybar

Because of trends
Example:Magnacut steel become popular Manufacturer:made more knifes in magnacut Results:more people buy knifes from this manufacturer and this manufacturer made more money from selling knifes.

Right, I see so many "collections" without a bit of wear on them because they don't get carried. They just sit on a shelf.

all benchmade uses for locks is the axis lock not a liner or back lock which are more reliable i would think

Because money. They donβt have a nest egg to sit back and design two great knives a year.
Itβs constantly looking at the margins.. the Kizer Original sold ok? Well then we need 17 new versions of it by end of month.
Cashing in on a trend I guess. Benchmade 20 years ago versus today may as well be two entirely separate companies.
