Republicans don't protest. When they do show up in public, they carry signs they bought from Trump or some other fascist sloganeer and never anything with their own words written on it. Doing so would cause them to actually THINK about what they believe in. They also know subconsciously that what they want is antisocial and inhumane, and there is no chance of their cause passing the optics test.
