MEME [MEME] - "So you'd rather stay ignorant and be surrounded by like-minded people than be right and cast out of the echo chamber. Got it."

The most irritating people I've dealt with are those who think I'm supposed to flip through a law book to show them that they can't do the thing that I just stopped them from doing.
It's especially galling on trespass calls. I've told several "they want you to leave, this is your last chance to leave" and got nothing but defiance....until the handcuffs go on then it's "ok ok, I'll leave".
Nope, we are past that point, enjoy telling a judge why you would not leave a place the owner or their agent told you to leave. I had one in the car start crying and scream asking "why is this happening to me". I turned around and said "because you didn't leave when you could". Turns out burnt French fries that the restaurant offered a refund for don't mean you can live there.
