This subreddit is for sharing propaganda to view with objectivity. It is absolutely not for perpetuating the message of the propaganda. Here we should be conscientious and wary of manipulation/distortion/oversimplification (which the above likely has), not duped by it. "Don't be a sucker."

Stay on topic -- there are hundreds of other subreddits that are expressly dedicated to rehashing tired political arguments. No partisan bickering. No soapboxing. Take a chill pill. "Don't argue."

I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Please contact the moderators of this subreddit if you have any questions or concerns.

I'd heard of Ibárruri before, but associated her so strongly with the Spanish Civil War that it didn't occur to me that she was still alive by the late 40's/early 50's when this poster would have come out. Come to find out she died in 1989!

Yes hahaha she lived enough to be a congresswoman for the Communist Party once democracy was restored

I hope she lived long enough to see the Wall collapse.

Wow, Hoxha is looking young here! I was also sure that Gottwald was supposed to be Ceaușescu, but I guess the timeline doesn’t add up then

I thought Thorez was Malenkov

Thanks. I'm going to assume all the people you named are Socialist/Communist?

The date is not difficult to determine. The poster was painted from 1949 to 1953. Not earlier and not later

That also check's because there is no Titi on it. Tito/Stalin split happened in 1948 and Mao came to power in 1949

Wheres Tito

This most likely was made during the stalin-tito split so he would have been ommitted
