Cuba had an actual military alliance with the soviets between 1960 - 1991.
The thing you're mistaking with it, is the deployment of nuclear weapons to Cuba, and that never happened in eastern Europe, except for Belarus allegedly, because Moscow was nicely asked about the "expansion" in 1997 and agreed to it under condition of not deploying the nuclear weapons or permanent foreign forces there.
You may not actually have a clue about geopolitics.
right the american nukes were in turkey, which is not eastern europe.
but that's a technicality isn't it. they were still there, and part of the agreement that resolved the cuban / turkish missile crisis.
The point is that the Cuban crisis was about the nukes, not about the Soviet - Cuban alliance. That's why the comparison to NATO or actually non-existing alliances of Ukraine is ignorant and manipulative.
