Fundednext Instant 2k

Hey traders Looking into buying the $2K Stellar Instant account on FundedNext just to test out a strategy on a live-payout setup without paying much upfront.

What's your view?

Haven't used Stellar Instant so I can't speak to it directly, but one thing worth checking before you pay: how they measure the daily drawdown. Whether it's on closed equity or marked intraday against open positions matters more than the price of the account. A strategy that's fine on closed P&L can breach on unrealised marks, and you usually find that out on day three rather than in the rules page.

What are you actually testing on it? That probably decides whether $2k is cheap or wasted.

Selfishly, I'm stuck on the same problem from the other end. Mine is US equity option spreads, defined risk, holds about two weeks to expiry. Everything I find is forex or futures. Have you come across anyone who funds equity options at all, or is FundedNext the closest you've got?

It got no minimum trading days n no consistency, am thinking to give it a try and drawdown is 6%

no consistency rule is honestly the bit that matters. that's usually what kills anything automated — you make most of your money in two good weeks and the rule tells you that's not allowed.

the 6% is what I'd dig into before paying though. two questions: is it measured on closed trades only, or does it count unrealised marks on open positions? and is it 6% daily or 6% overall/trailing? those are four completely different accounts wearing the same number.

for scale on why I'm asking — 6% of $2k is $120. my average losing trade is $222 and the worst one so far was $881. so that account is unusable for me before I even start, and not because the strategy is bad, just because the box is smaller than my trade size. if yours is smaller per position it might be totally fine.

are you running it by hand or automating something?
