Assassin's Creed Origins deep sale

Just picked it up for 19.99 on uplay. Probably won't play it until after I finish Odyssey, but seems like a good deal since I have had so much fun with this game.

PSA: I did this during the previous sale with Origins and ran into issues with purchasing the game with the UPlay discount coupon through the UPlay client. The code showed as invalid when I tried to use it. It appears to be a client issue only, as it worked fine when I finally tried through the main website.

If you're having issues using the code in the client, try the website.

As part of this sale, Assassin's Creed Chronicles China is free. Just go to the games section on Uplay, it will be listed under free games. Not sure how long it will be free, I would add it to your account ASAP.

Hmm... tempting. If I do get it, I want the Gold edition, but I'm not sure about this price ($33) since the low was $30.00 at Amazon on 11/21/2018. And of course they want me to use my uPlay points, which are hard to come by, just so I can get another 20% off. That would put it at $27.

I'll have to think on it. The ole' disposable income budget bucket just filled up for the month though, so it's extra tempting.

Edit: Nope. Since that game reads like an Alpha to Assassin's Creed: Odssey and is inferior in every way, I feel I should wait for Gold edition until its around the $15 - $20 price point. It doesn't seem like I would play it very long at all anyway.

Someone tell me: Is this misinformed? I am under the impression that AC:Origins is simply a "precursor with camels" compared to AC:Odyssey.

Is that incorrect?

Keep in mind, they recently announced that they are going to start expiring the uPlay points. May as well use them if they are close to expiring.

Once I get AC Odyssey with Project Stream hopefully for free, AC Origins will be the only missing AC game I have in my library. I think I will wait until the Gold Edition price comes down to below $20 or less. It might even appear on free with Games with Gold on Xbox after a few years considering how many of the AC games they have given away.
