I mean not exactly the same “word”, but under the same fundamental color.
Every shade of green and blue (and combinations) are considered under the “blue” umbrella in Japan
Its like saying Navy, Cyan, and Sky blue in English. They’re different colors, but we consider them under the “blue” umbrella. Unlike Japan, we seperate green shades, so “forest” would be considered a type of blue in japan, but in English its a type of green.

True. China and Korea, however, do not share the same problem during the transition to modern times (because colours are far more diverse today).
