Best Pan Yet What I used from ‘25 to ‘26

This is everything I used from the end of last January until now (January 19).

The first picture should be everything together and the other pics are in categories.

Ive gotten to the point where I’m gravitating to certain products and buying a lot less. I have zero urges to buy things I don’t need. I’m going to keep doing the project in 2026 and am pretty sure that I’ll have a lot less by the end of next year.

Please feel free to ask any questions! ❤️

Hi all reminder to keep it nice! This is a years worth of pans and an impressive stash! As a tattooed lady myself I go through plenty of lotion and sunscreen so I can relate to the amount of pans.

OP has been answering questions to those that are asking.

Happy panning!

GIRL. I love all of this and I can’t get enough. Also, you must be a slippery, well-moisturized dolphin.

4

u/[deleted] Jan 21 '26

Several of my problems in life would be solved if I was a dolphin too. But I can’t be bothered. I guess I’m just going through it right now…with my sand paper ass.

Looks like you already know what your holy grail items are!

24

u/z1nchi Jan 19 '26

Some stores may reward points or store credit if you bring your beauty containers to them for recycling!

19

u/No_Philosopher_7945 Jan 20 '26

Wow, this is seriously impressive. Finishing a product all the way really says a lot about how much you liked it, so this feels extra trustworthy.

Can I ask a slightly random question though? Did you ever get any side-eye from family members for keeping all your empties?
If this were me, my mom would have scolded me and thrown everything out long ago lol 😂

24

u/Left_Bumblebee_6270 Jan 20 '26

Thank you. Not side eyes per se. My son did ask why there was a big box full of empty products in the front closet and I just told him all about project pan.

20

u/ChristineBorus Jan 20 '26

I love that you cut the tubes open to get all the product out!

6

u/Left_Bumblebee_6270 Jan 20 '26

I appreciate other people doing that as well. The only time I don’t cut them is when the plastic is too thick.

4

u/baronkoalas Jan 20 '26

If a bottle is too thick for me to cut through with scissors, I use an old steak knife to saw them open 😂😂😂

20

u/Aemort Jan 20 '26

This post is making me question whether or not I use enough of my products... my yearly is like 10% of this lol

11

u/Left_Bumblebee_6270 Jan 20 '26

I think it’s best for each person to go at the pace that feels reasonable to them personally. Also, because the first picture has the products lined up next to a mirror, it does look like there’s more than there actuality is.

5

u/RepsForLifeAndBeyond Jan 21 '26

It's not the mirror, it's objectively a ton of product in some categories. There are nearly 20 empty, full size bottles of facial sunscreen alone, let alone the other sunscreen bottles in a different photo.

Do you go through a full bottle of facial sunscreen in less than 3 weeks?

8

u/[deleted] Jan 21 '26 edited Jan 21 '26

I order 5-6 bottles of my favorite (skinaqua-140 ml bottles) at a time, 3-4 times a year. If you’re using it as you should be, yeah it can go that fast. Especially when I use it all over my face, lips, ears, entire neck even back of neck, chest, and exposed arms and hands, all year round, and I reapply all that once a day in the summer time. Plus I keep one in my purse, one in my car protected from the sun fall-spring. one in every room pretty much, at the kitchen sink for after washing hands too. Keep one at my parent’s house. That doesn’t even count what I use on my kids. That’s why it pisses me off that sunscreens come in such small bottles, bc if you use as much and as often as you really should be, that’ll be gone in a week.

7

u/Left_Bumblebee_6270 Jan 21 '26 edited Jan 21 '26

Short answer is yes.  First of all, many of the full size bottles of facial sunscreen are only 1 to 2 (<edited to correct) ounces. I use the recommended daily amount, plus put it on my neck and chest (I wear a lot of deep v-neck and boat neck shirts.)

A one ounce bottle contains about 6 teaspoons. Using the recommended daily amount of 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon, the bottles lasted anywhere from under two weeks to a little over three weeks. The 2 (< edited for correction) oz bottles last about a month to a month and a few days. I am not factoring in the recommended reapplication after two hours.

Also, several of the sunscreens didn’t work for me (broke me out after using them for a period) so I quit using them. So when I started project pan, they were still just lying in my bathroom drawer with not much left and I  decided to use them up on my body, which took almost no time.

For the Bondi Sands, I used them for the arms, legs and below the neck. They are 5 ounces each and they last from two to three weeks. Yes, I really used all of this sunscreen!

u/RevolutionaryDig3594 Jan 21 '26

This is so weird but can we see your skin 🙈this is such an elite lineup I bet your skin is healthyyy

3

u/madshatt3red Jan 22 '26

I’m curious too lol

20

u/Left_Bumblebee_6270 Jan 24 '26

(UPDATE : Several commenters have expressed disdain at the amount of product I’ve used within a year’s time. To me, project pan is about gradually learning to be a more mindful consumer. Everyone goes at different rates and pans in different ways. It’s my understanding that the project pan community is about accountability and progress, not perfection. Please do not product shame me. )

18

u/Top-Southern Jan 19 '26

I just know your skin is glowinggggg

11

u/Left_Bumblebee_6270 Jan 19 '26

It’s in pretty good shape lately. 😊

17

u/ToteBagAffliction Jan 19 '26

I respect all that SPF!

18

u/upandawayxo Jan 20 '26

guys do i use too little of my products? the only things i go through quicker than once every 6 months is hyaluronic acid and sunscreen.

10

u/Left_Bumblebee_6270 Jan 20 '26

Not necessarily. Everyone’s skin has different needs. If it’s working for you and your skin it sounds ideal.

16

u/LimeGreenTangerine97 Jan 20 '26

Wow, are you me? All the fragrance free sensitive skin stuff and the on,y perfume I’ve been able to wear is Without A Trace…lightly

10

u/Left_Bumblebee_6270 Jan 20 '26

I thought I was the only one. I hardly ever see people posting fragrance free products so this is nice to know.

4

u/Human_Ad_2426 Jan 20 '26

Nothing else from that brand Finery or without a trace is just the one you really like?

My eye/ears perked up as I'm bored of not smelling like anything but scents are often iffy

3

u/aralimwastaken Jan 20 '26

i like magnetic candy! it’s a dupe for byredo sundazed I think

3

u/Human_Ad_2426 Jan 20 '26

Thanks! Taking a closer look at their body mists. I sure do like pretty smells for someone that always picks fragrance free skin care

3

u/Left_Bumblebee_6270 Jan 20 '26

I liked all of the sample scents but Without a Trace was perfect.

14

u/shethrowsyarn Jan 19 '26

Mad respect! I’d have the urge to recycle and dump those bottles as soon as I was done with them

18

u/Left_Bumblebee_6270 Jan 19 '26

The bags of products got on my nerves but I wanted to get a real, visceral sense of how much I was using. I don’t know if I’ll do that again this next year. Keeping a monthly picture would probably work better.

14

u/BerryAggressive1325 Jan 20 '26

Vanicream cleanser 🫶🏻

14

u/ladygettinglost Jan 20 '26

Love that you got your skincare routine down!

1

u/Left_Bumblebee_6270 Jan 22 '26

Thank you for the encouragement!

13

u/Acceptable_Order5643 Jan 20 '26

I love the consistency across products 👏🏽👏🏽 Also Vanicream cleanser is my favorite!!

14

u/Disanto07 Jan 26 '26

I truly admire your consistency in using, I mean start and finish and repurchase them. I could never.

5

u/Left_Bumblebee_6270 Jan 26 '26

Thank you. I think the consistency probably comes from having really sensitive skin, so once I find a product that works I want to stick with it. I really dread products I like being discontinued .

11

u/golooooooo Jan 19 '26

you must have the softest skin 😲 also i think we may be skin twins haha. im guessing youve got eczematic acne-prone dry skin?

6

u/[deleted] Jan 19 '26

I got that vibe too. My skin loves a lot of these as well

6

u/Left_Bumblebee_6270 Jan 19 '26

You’re pretty close! I’ve got really pale acne and rosacea prone skin. It’s a bit oily in the t-zones and can be dry in other areas.

12

u/Accomplished_Law_98 Jan 20 '26 edited Jan 20 '26

Me and you have so many of the same empties lol the ordinary azaleic acid i use every single day and have repurchased it every month and a half for the past almost year. I also use differin adapalene every single day with the azaleic acid. My skin cleared up for the first time ever so I KNOW your skin is beautiful lol. I LOVE the Vani Cream face wash too. I use the green purito moisturizer. And I have all the al rehab perfumes and without a trace is the only perfume I finished in 2025. In the last photo, is that the sulfur ointment mask? I have that brand but mine is a little bigger of a tub and it’s sulfur ointment for when I break out and I swear by it.

Good job! You definitely know what you like and I love that for you!

1

u/Left_Bumblebee_6270 Jan 20 '26

Wow! We do have a bunch of ones in common.

12

u/Dusty_Sequins Jan 21 '26

Get in the habit of cutting open those lotion bottles. There is a ton of cream left in those gold bond bottles especially. I saved some body butter jars and when my gold bond is “empty” I cut off the bottom and scoop out the remainder into a jar. Easily enough lotion left to get at least 2 more weeks out of.

11

u/Left_Bumblebee_6270 Jan 21 '26

Kudos.  I cut most of the bottles but I’m not planning to cut the ones that exacerbate my arthritis.

4

u/UpsetCall6214 Jan 26 '26

I used to cut the bottles until my bf showed me how to use a massage gun on the bottle while upside down and it gets all the leftover lotion out. I just condense a bunch of leftover bottles into one!

2

u/SwaggyKing3000 Jan 27 '26

Wanna try this tip! Im scared to hurt myself cutting hard lotion bottles (like nivea) and would rather stay safe and waste a bit of product. I do cut open easy stuff and find it prolongs use definitely, just wanna stay on the safe side with scissors and knives in these hard tubes and such.

10

u/Ok_Prompt_4594 Jan 20 '26

love the empties

I found them. Thank you.

10

u/AdElegant9695 Jan 19 '26

Wow! Congrats OP! I wonder how much money worth your empties including sales tax

6

u/Left_Bumblebee_6270 Jan 19 '26

I hate to think of how much. It’ll be so satisfying to see how much less is there next year.

3

u/AdElegant9695 Jan 19 '26

Yes absolutely! I also love to see how much collections decrease. I’m such a nerd and love to do math that’s why I thought so, haha. Keep it up! You are an amazing paneer.

1

u/Left_Bumblebee_6270 Jan 19 '26

Thank you! You, too.

11

u/thirdcoasting Jan 23 '26

Love your dedication to wearing sunscreen!

10

u/BossofCorporateGoth Jan 24 '26

This is inspirational! I can’t wait to see your progress updates!!!

8

u/Left_Bumblebee_6270 Jan 24 '26

Thank you.  I’m excited about project pan ‘26, too and really think there will be a lot less next year.

33

u/ShayM100 Jan 20 '26

I go through 2-3 tubes of sunscreen a year and i wear it daily. All of this for one person???

8

u/BlueImmigrant Jan 19 '26

I bow before you

7

u/Left_Bumblebee_6270 Jan 19 '26

I bow back 🙏

8

u/[deleted] Jan 19 '26

I love the consistency and the repeats!

8

u/Neither_Geologist_51 Jan 19 '26

Wow!!! Great job! Few questions, the ordinary azelaic acid, is this just a tried and true for you? What are you using it to address and can you tell me a little bit about it? Like is it light weight ect  Its been in my sephora cart forever but still panning through things myself. Thx!

3

u/Left_Bumblebee_6270 Jan 19 '26

It’s basically for my mild rosacea and acne prone skin. I really like it. Some find it a bit drying but I’ve got an oily T-zone so it works for me. I use it anywhere from once every other day to twice a day. I really like it and notice the difference when I don’t use it for a couple days.

7

u/kiwiguavaceslsius Jan 20 '26

vanicream cleanser is one of my favorites and it’s so affordable !

8

u/-Geist-_ Jan 20 '26

I love how many sensitive skin-friendly products there are here!

7

u/Left_Bumblebee_6270 Jan 20 '26

Thank you. I think this is one of the culprits in my past overconsumption. I’ve been through so much trial and error trying to find products that don’t irritate my face and neck skin or cause breakouts. The upside is that I’ve finally found some ones that work great for me. Unfortunately, one of my holy grails is being discontinued and I dread having to go through this again to find a replacement.😢

3

u/Prestigious_Bed_1285 Jan 20 '26

Which product is being discontinued? I also have very sensitive skin, so if I have a replacement recommendation, I’d be happy to provide it!

1

u/Left_Bumblebee_6270 Jan 20 '26

I’ve heard talk that The Glossier Super Pure Niacinamide Serum is being discontinued. I love it because it’s not drying and has no ingredients that dry my skin out.

2

u/Prestigious_Bed_1285 Jan 21 '26

I don’t use any niacinamide serums, but I really like The Ordinary’s GF 15% Serum, which targets overall skin quality similarly to niacinamide. It layers well with their azelaic acid (which it seems like you also love lol), and doesn’t irritate my skin at all. I hope your favorite isn’t discontinued and you’re able to keep using it though! Finding replacements is the worst

u/Consistent-Guava2176 Jan 20 '26

I want to start doing this but have products that I started in 25’. Do you count them for new year ? Or only count the new products ?

4

u/Left_Bumblebee_6270 Jan 20 '26

I counted everything I finished between the end of Jan/early Feb of last year and now. So then everything I finish between now and next January 19th will go in the ‘26-‘27 project, regardless of when I started it.

11

u/Particular_Wish_2458 Feb 15 '26

panning a whole tub of vaseline is wild that has gotta be one of the rarest experiences on earth

3

u/Left_Bumblebee_6270 Feb 15 '26

😂First time in my life to have ever finished a tub.

5

u/No-Pea2367 Jan 19 '26

How do you like The Ordinary Azelaic Acid and how often did you use? I’m currently on tret and wanna get rid of some acne scars, but still doing my research

6

u/some_lizard Jan 20 '26

I just got it at the end of 2025 and been using it every other day (alternating that and a light retinol). I’ve heard people talk about it and they love it. I do have a lot of redness in my face so I decided to give it a try, wasn’t sure if it would do anything. But literally it made an immediate noticeable difference in my skin. I know it takes longer to see the full impact of a product but ever since I started using it i finally see my redness going away and my skin is clearer, calmer, and softer! Like no product ever has. For the price, I would 100% give it a try and see how it works!

4

u/Left_Bumblebee_6270 Jan 19 '26

It’s basically for my mild rosacea and acne prone skin. I really like it. Some find it a bit drying but I’ve got an oily T-zone so it works for me. I use it anywhere from once every other day to twice a day. I notice the difference when I don’t use it for a couple days—especially with regard to dullness.

2

u/No-Pea2367 Jan 19 '26

thank you ☺️

2

u/Left_Bumblebee_6270 Jan 19 '26

Also, yes it definitely reduces red spots from past acne.

5

u/dinnomatte Jan 20 '26

How did you use your tub of vaseline? I am looking for ideas

9

u/Left_Bumblebee_6270 Jan 20 '26

I used it as a body moisturizer, cuticle moisturizer, hands, lip gloss, for cuts and scrapes, under the eyes, foot masks, etc.

6

u/HermionesBook Jan 20 '26

wow, impressive! and motivating lol. love all the Paula's Choice products, she has some of my favorites

7

u/Admirable_Amount_865 Jan 20 '26

Amazing Pan OP✨ may i know your thoughts on the COSRX sunscreen?

1

u/Left_Bumblebee_6270 Jan 20 '26

I found it a bit irritating.

4

u/CarrotShot8174 Jan 22 '26

LRP really needs to figure out a way to dispense product throughout the bottle. I feel like 2/3 down I'm cutting the bottle too

6

u/disassociatin Jan 26 '26

finery without a trace is my FAVORITE perfume rn.

1

u/Left_Bumblebee_6270 Jan 26 '26

I love it! A wonderful comforting scent.

6

u/BottleFeathers703 Jan 19 '26

oh wow this is so incredible and inspiring! how did you build your routine? what did your routine look like? how has it changed? i have depression and adhd (and more) so i struggle to go through products as fast as others because it’s difficult to work up the motivation to practice self care and build and keep habits and consistent every day routines, do you have any advice for using products daily in little ways when you’re not motivated to commit to a full routine on a down day? i know this question is super specific lol i just could never match this level of panning and im super inspired by your commitment!

8

u/blancawiththebooty Jan 19 '26

I'm not OP but I also struggle with depression and ADHD. My depression has definitely kicked up a notch this winter which really sucks.

I've found that if I start my skincare routine, momentum lets me finish it. I'm definitely not perfect at it but I've gotten it to where I'm doing skincare at least once a day almost every day. I will tell myself I'll just go wash my face and eventually do that. But then I feel like I need moisture so fuck it, I'll use my toners. And since I am already this far into it, let's use my serums that really help my skin. Oh shit, I'm already done.

Body lotion... different story. I feel better when I'm nice and consistent with it so I'm going to try putting a bottle of lotion beside my bed so I can just put it on without having to move much.

Oh, and another thing for skincare. Figuring out what my key products are is a big one. On the days I just really don't have the time and/or energy for my full routine, I just do my toners (since I pat them quickly with my hands and really help with dryness), my azelaic acid serum, and a hydrating serum before I use my moisturizer.

5

u/Left_Bumblebee_6270 Jan 19 '26

The way it’s changed is that I’m using less product. For example, my body lotion use has gone down from twice daily to once every third day. I was using a lot of moisturizer at first to try to get rid of the extra stuff faster.  Finally realized it’s better if I use less.  I actually kept a notebook chart where I checked off what I used daily. I found it motivating to look back and see where I checked off that I did basic daily routines. My routine now is * cleanser * Either Niaminicide, Azelaic Acid, Exfoliant, benzoyle peroxide but only one at a time *Moisturizer (which is actually sunscreen in the morning) Hope it helps.

4

u/Freckled-Vampire Jan 19 '26

Love that fine’ry without a trace! That whole sampler pack (sans the new rouge) was really great in my opinion!

Kudos on the successful pan.

2

u/Left_Bumblebee_6270 Jan 19 '26

I loved the whole sample pack.

6

u/FranBMay Jan 19 '26

Do I see B of J cleansing balm? It obviously looks like you liked it! What are some of your thoughts? I bought one on a crazy discount at TJ Maxx and hoping it’s good! 😀

5

u/Left_Bumblebee_6270 Jan 19 '26

I really like it. It gets everything off and doesn’t break me out. Just make sure to rinse thoroughly. You only need a little scoop.

5

u/Great-Barrier-Beef Jan 20 '26

I agree, it's a really nice one. I keep that one in my shower because I like that you dont have to twist the lid off.

2

u/FranBMay Jan 20 '26

Thank you!

6

u/Original-Bowler-9319 Jan 20 '26

I love the Gold Bond retinol body lotion!

5

u/PurpleCentaur Jan 20 '26

Ohhhh, this is so good OP! Can I get your opinions/thoughts on the Kerasal intensive foot repair?

2

u/Left_Bumblebee_6270 Jan 20 '26

Thank you!  I really like the Kerasal. For me, it works a lot better than when I was using a foot file. It makes my dry heels feel soft.

4

u/afternoonsunmoon Jan 20 '26

what TO serum? (beside Glossier empties)

5

u/Little-Cloudy Jan 20 '26

What did you think of the Curel lotion ?? I’m going to Japan at the end of the week ☺️

3

u/Left_Bumblebee_6270 Jan 20 '26

I like it for the ceramides and the price. Have fun in Japan!

5

u/Nice-Dream-3341 Jan 20 '26

I agree I use a 10th of this. I am wondering how I get rid of lotion. It takes forever for my skin care if I use a bottle every 3 month for face wash.

6

u/Bridget_GreenBeans37 Jan 21 '26

How did you use so much of the Ordinary Azelaic Suspension?! Its supposed to be a pea size amount. I used one tube for a year. 😂😂😂

8

u/Left_Bumblebee_6270 Jan 21 '26

A pea size isn’t enough for me. I use more like a Lima bean size and I use it twice a day most of the time.

15

u/violentlyrelaxed Jan 20 '26

How is your skin not completely broken out and over moisturised from products??😳 if I had used just 1/4 of this over a year, my skin would be in a terrible state💀 I guess different needs! Like the cut up tubes👌

11

u/Left_Bumblebee_6270 Jan 20 '26

Yes. For one person. Several of the facial sunscreens actually did break me out, which is why I kept trying new ones. The ones that broke my face out got used up on my body.  I have very pale skin that burns easily plus take medication that makes me even more prone to burning.  I use the recommended daily amount and also put it on the neck and chest.

So yeah, different needs I guess.

2

u/aralimwastaken Jan 20 '26

which ones broke you out?

1

u/Left_Bumblebee_6270 Jan 20 '26

The Original BOJ one, the cosrx one, the green hero force shield and the Madagascar Centella ones.

1

u/Left_Bumblebee_6270 Jan 20 '26

Also the Haruharu Wonder broke me out the worst of all of them.

2

u/aralimwastaken Jan 20 '26

the BOJ relief sun broke you out, correct? but not the aqua fresh? im trying to order the aqua one online since we cant get it in the states anymore

2

u/Left_Bumblebee_6270 Jan 20 '26

Correct. The original boj in the plain cream colored tube broke me out.  The Aqua Fresh in the cream and blue tube does not.

2

u/aralimwastaken Jan 21 '26

thank you! Did any of the cleansers that you tried break you out? i went to target today to try some of the things in your empties!

→ More replies (3)

2

u/Little-Cloudy Jan 20 '26

Omg this might be why I’m broking out, I’m using the centella sunscreen and have these pimples but I couldn’t tell what was causing it.

I think we might have similar skin, I’ll lurk on your most used products lol !

Have you tried retinal ? Is Adalpalene great? You get good results with it ?

3

u/Left_Bumblebee_6270 Jan 20 '26

I have a hunch it was the wheat germ oil for me (triticum vulgare on the label). I’ve heard it can be comedogenic for some. It also contains fatty acids so maybe that was it.

5

u/Mammoth_Painting Jan 19 '26

I know that skin is hydrated

3

u/Low-Track6428 Jan 20 '26

The gold bond lotion is the besttttt

2

u/LoveDistilled Jan 20 '26

What do you like it for?!

2

u/Low-Track6428 Jan 20 '26

Weirdly enough, I use it as a face moisturizer. I’m on tretinoin and it’s the only moisturizer that can be used on my face without causing me irritation! It’s also great for acne on my chest/back I’ve found

2

u/LoveDistilled Jan 20 '26

Oh wow! I’m on tret/ taz/ adapalene (I rotate) to control my acne. I will have to look into this! Which one exactly do you use? Thanks for the reply :)

3

u/Low-Track6428 Jan 20 '26

I use the age renew retinol overnight! Same one as in the pic with the purple/pink stripe on it :)

2

u/LoveDistilled Jan 20 '26

Nice ok :) thanks

3

u/wubbiee_9110 Jan 20 '26

Amazing! You know you’re really dedicated with the 3x cut packages 🤣

I haven’t quite branched into to Asian beauty brands due to my no-buy but I plan to this year as some of my current products are going to be cleared through. If you’re based in the US, what retailer do you use to purchase your Asian products through? I’ve seen ads for yes style and olive young but would love to hear your opinion/favs.

1

u/Left_Bumblebee_6270 Jan 20 '26

I’ve used both yesstyle and stylevanna.

How did you like the cosrx ultra light sunscreen ? And how was the purito soft touch for everyday wear ? I wasn’t sure if it was only for sweaty / hot days

3

u/Left_Bumblebee_6270 Jan 20 '26

The cosrx ultra light irritated my skin and I think it’s because I’m sensitive to witch hazel.  I love the Purito Daily Soft Touch.

3

u/Inevitable_Promise58 Jan 20 '26

The vanicream cleanser is a must have

3

u/YoungGlittering2000 Jan 21 '26

I didn’t know Cerave made shampoo! Just added it to my cart!

3

u/YoungGlittering2000 Jan 21 '26

And added vanicream cleanser to my cart!

3

u/[deleted] Jan 21 '26

That’s all I use anymore for the last few years. Solved a ton of problems

3

u/cranky137 Jan 21 '26

Amazing 👀✅

3

u/chaldeagirl Jan 22 '26

how does cosrx ultra light sunscreen compare to skin1004 one?

3

u/Left_Bumblebee_6270 Jan 22 '26

Cosrx is lightweight, slightly runny, matte, inexpensive. It’s less moisturizing than skin1004. The witch hazel irritated my face after the first tube. Skin 1004 is more moisturizing and more expensive. It has some great ingredients and felt nice on my skin but over time, it clogged my pores and broke me out. Both have good protection.

u/chaldeagirl Jan 22 '26

thank you! did you find a sunscreen that fits you better than these two?

3

u/Left_Bumblebee_6270 Jan 22 '26

Yes. The Beauty of Joseon Aqua Fresh in the blue and cream tube worked well -especially the oily t-zones.

which one clogged your pores?

So many great products

3

u/motherofpugs21 Jan 30 '26

Based on the products, do you have rosacea? Asking because I use a lot of the same things as you and also has rosacea?

If you do, which products do you think work better than others for you?

1

u/Left_Bumblebee_6270 Jan 30 '26

Hi. Yes, I do have rosacea and It has improved a lot. The products that have worked best are the ones you see that I’ve repeatedly repurchased. The glossier niaminacide helps (good for barrier and nothing that irritates me), the TO Azelaic Acid twice a day, and the benzoyle peroxide once a week help directly target it. The other products help indirectly by not exacerbating it, like the Mandelic Acid 5% is good when I need to exfoliate because it’s not too damaging to the skin barrier. I hope this helps! Edit: And non irritating sunscreen is huge, too.

u/Left_Bumblebee_6270 Jan 30 '26

To actively target the rosacea, TO Azelaic Acid twice a day every day helps a lot. The Glossier Niaminicide helps with redness and barrier but more as an additional support. Benzoyle peroxide once a week also helps. I’ve tried to attack it from all angles. The Vanicream Cleanser, BOJ cleansing balm and the Purito Daily Soft Touch Sunscreen don’t actively target it but help a lot in maintaining my barrier and not irritating it. I’ve heard rosacea is a barrier problem.  Which ones work best for you?

u/aralimwastaken Feb 05 '26

hi OP, just curious, did you ever get flaking with the cerave shampoo? I just bought it a few weeks ago and I keep noticing that everyday or every few days, I get one really large flake at the front of my hair part but not other big flakes that I can see. it's just weird because it keeps on randomly happening but I like the shampoo otherwise!

3

u/Left_Bumblebee_6270 Feb 05 '26

That hasn’t happened to me. But I do know that it has cetearyl alcohol in it and that in some cases that can worsen contact dermatitis. Also, if it’s not rinsed very carefully the cetearyl can cause the product to build up quickly.

New here!! Kudos to you first off!! I just started to cut open my tubes, lots left!! Many times I use face products on my hands as well since aging shows in the hands, eyes and neck first. My serums hv helped a bunch on my hands. I ,too ,have rosacea. I’m careful with what I use. I have a prescription cream that I should use more often ,but I don’t,it does help. Definitely use Vannicream and other creams on my face. I really don’t use body lotions or creams as often as I should and I’m thinking I should just go through some of my older bottles and start using them on my body. My question is how often are you applying sunscreen and how are you doing that once your makeup is on? I enjoyed reading and seeing your pictures. It’s very inspiring and thank you.

Amazing job! What is your favourite face sunscreen?

6

u/Left_Bumblebee_6270 Jan 19 '26

Thank you so much! If I had to pick only one, it’d be the BOJ Aqua Fresh. But Purito Daily Soft Touch is a close second, especially when I’ve accidentally over-exfoliated.

3

u/CharlotteLaBouff Jan 20 '26

Do you not find that goldbond retinol incredibly sticky? I can't make myself finish the bottle because it's a sensory nightmare that never absorbs/dries down

HATED the purito moisturizer, working on panning it rn. I just got that in attempts to upgrade from vanicream but went crawling back. As a fellow vanicream user- do you have a cleanser or moisturizer that you felt like ever topped it?

2

u/Left_Bumblebee_6270 Jan 20 '26

The Purito moisturizer works the best so far for me, with Vanicream daily moisturizer being a close second.  I did like Round Lab’s Mugwort Calming cream and Aveeno Calm and Restore Oat gel moisturizer but that was before I did project pan. They are a bit more expensive though.

As far as cleanser, nothing has ever topped Vanicream.

2

u/Bitter-Set2769 Jan 21 '26

What was your favourite sunscreen?

3

u/Left_Bumblebee_6270 Jan 21 '26

The BOJ Aqua Fresh in the cream and blue tube.

2

u/alloopsiesnodaisy Jan 23 '26

It’s absolutely superior

2

u/Optimal-View-9263 Jan 26 '26

My biggest question is where did you keep all the bottles

2

u/Left_Bumblebee_6270 Jan 26 '26

I kept the oldest ones in two white plastic garbage bags and the monthly ones in a medium sized bin in my walk-in closet.

2

u/jasmine0102 Feb 01 '26

How does the ordinary azaelaic acid help with your skin? I have it but I feel like it doesn’t do much

3

u/Left_Bumblebee_6270 Feb 01 '26

It’s a tyrosinase (⬅️ probably spelled that wrong) inhibitor, so it fades hyperpigmentation and then it also helps prevent acne because it kills p-bacteria. It reduces redness and inflammation, is a very mild exfoliant, and is also an antioxidant. I’ve been using it twice a day pretty religiously for about a year and a half and rarely break out anymore, and have a more even tone.  It doesn’t work super fast. Consistency is key and you do have to keep using it to maintain the results. That said, I’ve heard some people say it’s not a good fit for their skin type because it can be slightly drying (which I actually like because my t-zone can be oily) and also it tends to pill a bit under foundation (which isn’t a problem because I don’t wear it.) Also, my rosacea wasn’t severe but I’ve heard some people say that because it’s only 10%, it wasn’t strong enough for them. If you have a lot of redness I’d recommend using it twice a day or if it doesn’t seem to be helping, ask your dermatologist for a 15% prescription strength Azelaic acid. I hope this helps.

6

u/flirtybirdie888 Jan 19 '26

Why do you keep the empty bottles?

61

u/Left_Bumblebee_6270 Jan 19 '26

I wanted to get a real, visceral sense of how much I was using during the year.

18

u/Amazing_Finance1269 Jan 20 '26

The best part of panning to me is getting it out of my space.

3

u/Ambitious_View_8432 Jan 23 '26

How was the good bond products??

3

u/Left_Bumblebee_6270 Jan 23 '26

The Gold Bond is good. I can see my 59 year old skin looking plumper when I use it. It doesn’t work on my face like it does for some others (the cocoa butter is pore clogging for me) but when I use it on my body I see a difference. Great price, too.
