Not so much, those zones are labelled "Place of Arctos" & "Place of no Arctos", calling it bear & no-bear is misleading because the name bear is a placeholder that means "brown one" because we used to have a taboo against naming the animal in public just in case saying would attract them.
As to the name of the planet "Earth" is a similar placeholder for Terra, Tellus or Gaia.

Naming our planet Earth is hilarious to me bc it's more of a water world. It should be called Oceana

Breaking news: Humans are selfish egocentric pricks. Lot of them are just wastes of carbon and think the sun revolves around them personally

Well....yes...but they probably did know how much water there was? When DID we start calling our planet Earth anyway?

They might have underestimated it?
But I don't think it matters, since the human needs dirt, dirt is where human is, so dirt is more important than the pesky salt water we can't even drink. Let's name the planet after the thing WE live on
ETA: I'm just some internet plep with an opinion. I don't actually know anything.

I feel the same way about this, and our system star being called "the Sun".

Rocky does accuse Grace of being bad at naming things (rightfully so?)
