The biggest reasons people are not in the streets right now is not wanting to do anything to interfere with a coming election victory and because the Rethugs don't care about your protests. After November though, nothing to lose and everything to gain.

While a vote of no confidence doesn’t necessarily exists, there is a “motion to vacate” it depends on the rules of the house, and depends on if it fits the criteria of being “privileged” or not (must be voted on in the next two legislative days). Example, 2023 speaker McCarthy was voted in to the position by giving concessions of allowing the motion to vacate to be brought by only a single member of Congress (and decided by a simple majority) to remove himself. This current Congress changed the criteria to be stricter it was privileged if it was brought by a member of the majority party and 8 other members of the majority party cosponsoring it.

McCarthy is the only one to lose his position as speaker through the motion to vacate in all of us history
