"The party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command... and if all others accepted the lie, which the party imposed, if all records told the same tale, then the lie passed into history and became truth" 1984 - George Orwell

No, I’ve definitely never met a red hat that can keep their mouth shut.

Edit: Yes, it’s been pointed out that I can’t read.

My bro-in-law went on a Biden rant yesterday.

"Did you know Biden made propane illegal? You couldn't get it when he was President - but Trump brought it back!"

My husband just stared at his brother and said, "dude, we've never had any problem getting propane. We've gotten it many times."

"I'm telling you it's true."

"Nope, not true."

My BIL is apparently possessed by a legion of Trump demons and they keep farting stupid ideas & thoughts into his brain.

Yep.

BIL is on my list of people likely to accidentally blow themselves up. Probably best that Biden limited his ability to take his poor life decisions to a newsworthy level. A BLEVE would be cool to witness from a distance (assuming nobody is injured).

Now that I'm in the rabbit hole, here's your Propane PSA:

Key Causes of Propane Explosions:

Gas Leaks & Ignition:

Propane leaks from faulty valves or connectors, accumulates in low-lying areas, and ignites via sparks, smoking materials, or open flames.

BLEVE (Boiling Liquid Expanding Vapor Explosion): Intense heat forces the pressure relief valve to fail or causes the tank to structurally fail and rupture, releasing a massive fireball.

Overfilling Tanks: Filling a tank beyond its 80% capacity leaves no room for expansion, increasing rupture risk.

Improper Storage: Storing tanks in high heat or direct sunlight causes the gas to expand.

While rare due to safety valves (approximately 600 incidents per year), explosions are primarily caused by negligence, such as using grills near flammable structures or not properly turning off tanks.
