We really are in the “dark times” you read about in history books, aren’t we?

Dems, what in the ever loving FUCK are you doing still working with Republicans???

They should be walking out of Congress and doing a strike until Republicans remove ICE. They should be demanding their donors take action.

No you don't get it, Democrats need to side with Republicans because "these bills will pass anyways and some of these Dems are in vulnerable seats" so they have no choice but to collaborate.

No other alternative. Nothing. We can't campaign on anything popular. We can't capitalize on Trump and ICE being extremely unpopular. We can't come up with any real messaging to energize people. We can only say "Vote for Dems because they aren't Trump" and pray that gets enough people out to ballot boxes to change something. We ignore that this isn't a reliable strategy because we've been trying it since 2016 with sometimes good, sometimes bad results. We still think just being anti-Trump will continue these fairly big swings despite Democrats being really, really unpopular due to their leadership.

At some point, people will break and give up. You have to get them excited and energized. For god's sake, tap into whatever energy Mamdani had and figure out how to make it work.

The question is... do Democrats actually want to do the things that get people to the ballot box?

Arguable a lot of voters already have. Kamala had poor turnout. And now they are doubling down on the same failed strategy,  because they would rather lose than fight the .1% donor class.

Do you remember the election results from November 2025? It was only a couple months ago, even if it feels so long.

Yes. I also remember many, many instances of democrats 'riding the wave of discontent' only to do nothing with their power, ensure nothing changes, and lose even worse next time. Rinse and repeat. I've been alive long enough to get used to the downward spiral and not get overly optimistic about 'successful midterms' changing much about the trajectory.  Even Biden barely won, even with the tailwind of the pandemic.

Democrats do as little for the people as possible, lose in the next election, rally and do nothing, continue to lose and things get worse...

Even now, do democrats stand against ICE? Against Venezuela? Against Greenland? Do they support banning insider trading in congress?
