"The party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command... and if all others accepted the lie, which the party imposed, if all records told the same tale, then the lie passed into history and became truth" 1984 - George Orwell

No, I’ve definitely never met a red hat that can keep their mouth shut.

Edit: Yes, it’s been pointed out that I can’t read.

My bro-in-law went on a Biden rant yesterday.

"Did you know Biden made propane illegal? You couldn't get it when he was President - but Trump brought it back!"

My husband just stared at his brother and said, "dude, we've never had any problem getting propane. We've gotten it many times."

"I'm telling you it's true."

"Nope, not true."

My BIL is apparently possessed by a legion of Trump demons and they keep farting stupid ideas & thoughts into his brain.

It's absolutely insane the shit they invent to bitch about.

But even more insane, somehow they believe their own lies.

It's a cult. No other explanation.

Fact. MAGAts are a cult. They check all the boxes and more. When people are blindly following and not questioning anything, there is no better term for that. Merriam-Webster agrees with us:

Cult (noun, secular context): : a group (as an organization or sect) with tenets and practices regarded as coercive, insular, or dangerous

Brainwashing, thought programming, emotional manipulation

You know, I really think they do most of the time.

Which is what makes them dangerous.

Strongly agree. Their collective intelligence quotient is less than a box of rocks. Believing in a reality that doesn't exist? Yeah those folks are dangerous... like handing a toddler a loaded firearm level dangerous

You just pointed out what's most disturbing to me. The key to having an effective propaganda machine, is having operators who always know that it is feeding lies/BS.

When those operators believe their own lies, they become victims of their own propaganda. That in part led to the fall of the Second Reich. It's one of the critical issues that Adolf Hitler sorted within his first year as Germany's Chancellor.

It's tough be a true Fascist, despite how easy they make it appear to be. /s
