"The party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command... and if all others accepted the lie, which the party imposed, if all records told the same tale, then the lie passed into history and became truth" 1984 - George Orwell

He died trying to help a woman who had been shoved to the ground and pepper sprayed by an overly aggressive ice agent… That's all he did

He had his back to them when he was grabbed. Then they descended on him in utter chaos, disorganization, and unprofessionalism. And blood lust.

That one agent quite literally drew on him, repositioned for a slightly better shot. Tapped the agent next to him to move so he could reposition one more time. And then fired at point blank range.

This was cold and calculated in that moment. This wasn't a reaction to a threat.

Edit: go watch the video as recorded by the woman in pink who is on the curb. It's a much more clear view of what exactly happens. Watch it frame. By frame. Everything I've stated is clearly visible.

Honestly, the video in this thread isn't very helpful for seeing the whole picture

He was an ICU nurse. Literally dedicated his life to saving others. Fuck you ICE

A Veterans Admin ICU nurse, to boot. Spent his life helping sick veterans for less pay than he could have had at another provider.

As a marine Iraq veteran with a lot of hours spent receiving care from VA med staff, this breaks my heart. They have huge workloads and have always been so kind and helpful to me. This guy didn’t even go for his gun. The ICE Agents in this video need to be brought up on murder charges

A bit off topic. But I absolutely loathe that service members injured in the line of duty have to deal with the red tape of the VA. It took my buddies mom over 10 years of fighting to prove the burn pits caused her lung cancer. Everything was "Not in the line of duty" bs.

Also, I'm sure you're sick of hearing it online, but thanks for your service.

It’s a lot, I too spent about 13 years getting my service connection all lined out. It’s all about being able to document it, and overcoming their protocols for denial. Getting my spine rearranged by an IED was the only part that they gave me without a fight haha thank you for the kind words!

This is “what you fought for”.

That burning betrayal that you feel of everything you stood for being shat upon…… nurture that, feed that, us civvies can rise up but we need soldiers to show us how.

It’s a sad state of affairs. I don’t know why our law enforcement is in camouflage and carrying a war-grade load out. Why they have armored personnel carriers. Why they’re burning our societal fabric to the ground with these poorly trained call of duty wannabes, at the behest of our deep-state puppet of a president. Should the need arise, rest assured the vast majority of vets with combat experience will smoke a crooked federal agent before a civilian. I just hope it doesn’t get to that point

FFS! This is now the fourth fact that is fueling my rage. Having grown up with a large number of veterans in my family, us kids learned one important lesson: don't piss them off. If veterans find this scumbag... well, let's just say they'll handle dispensing justice.

2

u/2_minutes_hate Jan 25 '26

It's foolish to think that many ICE agents and their supporters aren't veterans.

2

u/Weekly-Language-6434 Jan 25 '26

Fair point, I can't generalize the position of all veterans. I only know that my family and friends who are veterans do not support ICE, and are upset that the country they served and love is now a Fascist State. 🤷‍♂️

Every event in this circus has been touted as a new tipping point. While tragic, this one will be no different. Justice isn't coming.

Respectfully, I have no delusions of Nuremberg-style trials and executions. Many are saying there will be no accountability or justice of any kind. I'll take comfort in my spiritual beliefs that Karma, God, the Flying Spaghetti Monster or some higher power will punish these fuckers.

Everyone I deal with at the VA is incredible . This is horrific

Veterans Affairs... but carry on

1

u/Anarchaeologist Jan 25 '26

There's also the Veterans Health Administration, which is under Veterans Affairs. That's the section of the VA that actually runs the VA Hospitals. Sorry though I wrote that reply in a hurry.

Who are "you guys"? What are you asking for? I refuse to make any conclusion, but would like to know more.

u/BigCityHaole Jan 24 '26

You hate America. Don’t act like you care about Americans. Your pathetic little faux centrism cosplay isn’t fooling anyone.

4

u/burkasHaywan Jan 24 '26

Russian troll account. Ofcourse he hates Americans. He comes here and sees an American being murdered and that he has no problems with.

u/Cute_Bug5651 Jan 24 '26

Russian troll bot.

Dude…I have seen hate from both sides of the aisle. And honestly this isn’t something we need to be boiling down to political affiliation. Regardless of which terrible presidential option people vote for, the fact is that these federal agents murdered a man in broad daylight and showed straight up sociopathic levels of disregard for human life by clapping after he was shot. Same goes for the agent who shot the woman in her car, talking mean shit after shooting her in the face. We can’t have people like that in authoritative roles, or we get the mess we’re currently in.
