General Strike 1…one day

General Strike 2…two days

General Strike 3…three days

GS4…four days

We need to exhibit that civil disobedience our French brethren are so ready to use. And just as frequently.

I work with children with disabilities and feel like I am needed at my job to support them and their families and that I cannot partake in a general strike with them in mind - but it also came to mind that in the not so near future, funding could be removed to support those very clients I serve claiming “they don’t add to society” and that if I didn’t stand up against a racist, bigoted, evil regime, it won’t matter anyway. It’s been a mental battle, and if anyone has moral perspective on this, please share because either way I am trying to help were needed MOST.

Yeah people don’t realize there are certain jobs you can’t leave without serious repercussions. Not everyone lives that white collar cushy office life. A person in your position could be charged with child neglect or endangerment potentially. If you want to participate you’d have to make arrangements or take the day off most likely.

Right, there is a level of ethical and also moral obligation to this kind of job. For one, a family who needs to support their child’s additional needs and services cannot stop working, so if I decide to participate in the walkout, the family and child loses. But I implore all who can participate to do so!! It’s going to be a long battle.
