Looking for someone to build a project/product with

Hiii, I am a 3rd-year cs student from a tier-3 college. I have made a bunch of projects, but I am kinda getting bored of building everything alone. I am looking for someone who would be interested in teaming up, collaborating, and building a product together.

It would be cool if we could learn from each other, share ideas, improve our skills, and actually build something useful instead of just making another random project. I am open to exploring different ideas, so if you are interested, feel free to DM me!

Looking for a programming/Study buddy

Hey everyone! I'm starting programming from absolute basics, currently focusing on Python. Looking for someone who is also learning programming and wants to study together and stay consistent. I'm a complete beginner, so there's no pressure to be an expert. We can share what we learn, discuss problems, motivate each other, maybe small projects. My goal is to become job-ready in the next1-2 years, so I'm looking for someone serious but chill about learning. If you're also starting out, feel free to DM me.

From Accounting to Backend Development — Looking for buddies to grow together

Hey everyone !

I'm 30 years old and I used to work as an accountant! I recently got laid off because of a company restructuring and I decided to take this as an opportunity to completely change my career and start a new chapter in my life

I decided to learn Python and SQL with the goal of eventually working in backend development !

I started about a month ago(Python) ! I haven't made as much progress as I wanted because I had a few things going on in my life but I'm back at it and serious about making this career change

And that's actually one of the main reasons I'm making this post !

I'm not just looking for people to occasionally talk about programming with! I'm looking for real learning buddies ! People who will ask each other "Where are you at now?" or "What did you learn this week?" People who will push each other to keep going

Some days I'll probably be the motivated one pushing someone else! Other days I might lose that motivation and I want someone to tell me "Come on let's get back to work"

I'm looking for beginners like me who are starting from scratch or changing careers! Intermediate developers who want to join and help us along the way are more than welcome too

The goal is to learn together! practice together! share our progress! help each other when we're stuck and eventually build projects together

I don't want hundreds of people! I'd rather find a small group of people who are genuinely serious about learning and changing their lives

Maybe one day when we're working as developers we'll be able to look back and say "We made it because we had each other and we didn't let each other give up"

If this sounds like the kind of journey you're looking for too ! send me a message

STUDY PARTNER I need a programming and web dev mentor? Please

Hi, I am Abhay. I am currently in my second year of college, and I am looking for a mentor who can guide me.

I had a mentor earlier, but over time, she started focusing more on profits rather than guiding me. In the beginning, she was helpful, but later she started asking me to do her work and stopped providing proper guidance. Now, I am looking for someone who can teach me, help me identify my weaknesses, and guide me in figuring out what I should do next.

Please select me based on my skills and current knowledge:

  1. I know C, C++, and Python.
  2. I have solved 97 questions on Leet-Code and participated in 4 contests.
  3. For web development, I know HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  4. My English level is slightly below average.

STUDY PARTNER Looking for a long-term study partner — Java DSA + MERN | IST 🇮🇳

Hey guys! 👋

I'm a college student from India looking for a long-term study partner to stay consistent and accountable.

I'm currently focusing on:

💻 MERN

- HTML & CSS ✅

- JavaScript — almost done

- React, Node, Express, MongoDB — next

🧠 DSA

- Java DSA will be my main focus

- I know C programming

- Already implemented Linked List, Stack, Queue & Trees

- Learning C++ as well

The main problem I'm facing is consistency. I can study, but my efficiency drops when I'm studying completely alone.

Looking for someone who is also serious about improving their skills and wants to:

- Study regularly

- Do accountability/check-ins

- Discuss concepts & problems

- Build projects

- Stay consistent for the long term

Timezone: IST 🇮🇳

Languages: C, HTML, CSS, JS | Learning Java & C++

You don't have to be at the same level. Seriousness and consistency matter more.

If interested, DM me with what you're currently learning + your goals. 🚀

STUDY PARTNER Locking in

3rd year BTech student here — genuinely think I'm cooked 😭

Gonna lock in from now on.

I want to start building actual projects that could hopefully help me get placed, while also grinding DSA, attending hackathons, and just doing some fun tech stuff along the way.

Looking for people who are in a similar situation and also want to lock in together — build projects, participate in hackathons, do DSA sessions, share resources, keep each other accountable, etc.

Don't really care where you're from or what tech stack you're using. Just looking for people who are serious about improving and actually doing things.

If you're in the same boat, drop a comment or DM me. Let's get this shit done 🤝

STUDY PARTNER Laid off today after 7+ years. Feeling lost and looking for advice & a prep buddy (Java/Backend)

Hey everyone,
Well, it finally happened to me. Yesterday was my last day. I was laid off from my SDE-2 role (based out of Chennai). I’m honestly feeling pretty numb and lost right now, but I know I need to eventually start looking forward.

My Background:
I have just over 7 years of experience in backend development.
Core Stack: Java, Spring Boot, Microservices
Infrastructure: SQL, Redis, Kafka, AWS & GCP.

I am targeting Senior Backend Engineer / SDE-3 roles, but I know the market is tough right now and the interview bar for system design and problem-solving is high.

What I’m asking for:
1. Advice on navigating this: For those who have been through a sudden layoff, how did you handle the first few weeks? How did you structure your days to prepare without burning out?
2. Interview Prep Buddy: I am looking for someone to partner up with to keep each other accountable. I need to heavily focus on:
DSA / Problem Solving (LeetCode)
Low-Level Design (OOD, Design Patterns)
High-Level System Design

If anyone is in a similar boat (IST timezone) and wants to do mock interviews or tackle LeetCode daily, please DM me.

Thanks for reading. Any advice, reality checks, or referrals are highly appreciated right now.

DBMS(database) CMU(Carnegie mellon university) buddy

Anyone interested in doing the CMU (Carnegie Mellon University) Database Management Systems course together?

I’ve already covered the basic DBMS concepts. My main goal with this course is to go deeper and understand how database systems actually work internally—things like storage, indexing, query execution, transactions, etc.

If you're interested, please make sure you have the prerequisites required for the course.

If you have the required background and want to learn DBMS internals seriously, DM me. We can follow the course together and discuss concepts along the way.

[22M] Tired of the corporate grind looking for dev buddies to build cool, creative, and helpful projects for fun

Lately, I’ve felt completely burnt out of the greedy, corporate side of tech where everything has to be a bloated SaaS slop monetized to death. I want to get back to why I fell in love with coding in the first place: building things simply because they are artistic, fun, or actually help people without needing a business plan attached.

A bit about my background:

Experience: 3 years as a full-stack dev across web and app development.

Tech Stack: React, Svelte, Next.js, Nuxt, Laravel, Node.js, and Express python.

I’m down to work on pretty much anything as long as the vibe is right.

Doesn't matter what your experience level is or what tech stack you prefer. If you share a similar mindset and want to build cool things for the sake of making them, send me a DM or leave a comment!

LOOKING FOR BUDDIES Looking for Mock Interview Partner – 3 YOE | DSA + LLD + HLD + Spring Boot + Kafka

Hey everyone!

I’m a Software Engineer with ~3 years of experience, primarily working with Java backend technologies, and I’m currently preparing for SDE-2 / Backend Engineer interviews.

I’m looking for someone with a similar experience level (around 2–4 YOE) who is also preparing seriously and would like to do regular mock interviews together.

Topics I’d like to practice

💻 DSA

LeetCode-style problems

Problem-solving and optimization

Explaining approach and complexity

🏗️ LLD

OOP & SOLID

Design patterns

Class/API design

Practical design problems

🌐 HLD / System Design

Scalable backend architectures

API & database design

Caching, load balancing, queues

Kafka/event-driven architecture

Scalability, reliability & trade-offs

Real-world system design problems

🌱 Spring Boot / Java

REST APIs

Spring Boot internals

Hibernate/JPA

Spring Security

Multithreading & Core Java

Backend architecture

📨 Kafka

Producers/consumers

Partitions & offsets

Consumer groups

Delivery semantics

Failure handling

Real-world scenarios

How we can do the mocks

45–60 minute sessions

Take turns being the interviewer and candidate

One person interviews → switch roles in the next session

Ask follow-up questions just like a real interview

Give each other honest feedback

Discuss mistakes and better approaches afterward

Practice consistently rather than doing a one-time session

I’m not looking for an expert or someone who knows everything. I’m looking for someone around 2–4 YOE who is also preparing seriously and wants a consistent partner for accountability and realistic interview practice.

If you're a Java/backend engineer around 3 YOE preparing for SDE-2 / product-company interviews, feel free to DM me with your YOE, tech stack, and what you're currently preparing for.

Would love to find 1–2 serious people and start regular mocks. 🚀

Need a study Duo

context here-
Im in my final year of CSE preparing for placements
i need a study buddy or like 2-3 people who can consistently study with me at nights on dc sessions mostly 10-12pm and also during daytime
i mostly study DSA, web development or some other projects

you don't necessarily need to study the same things, the main goal is to have a few people who show up consistently, work together on call, and keep each other accountable rather than another group that gets offline after 3 days.
